vram1974 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 So after 1,700 hours in Skyrim I decided to finally see what the wedding thing is like. I put on an amulet of Mara and found the nearest warm body to propose to. It happened to be Lydia (the Bijins Warmaidens version not the hideous vanilla one). Lydia was understandably excited to be marrying her boss and kept nagging me about it. So after fighting our way through bandits and vampires to Riften I head to the temple of Mara to get married. But before I reach the temple I remember I promised this slightly insane orphan back in Windhelm that I'd cleave in the skull of his former tormenter so I head over to the orphanage and make it so. As I'm leaving some wannabe hero decides to take on the Dragonborn so I leave his corpse twitching on the floor, blood squirting out like a lawn sprinkler. I'm going to need to change before the wedding. I get outside and some poor excuse for a guard says I'm going to have to answer for my crimes. So I leave a new corpse on the ground and soon enough I'm leaving a trail of widows to the Temple of Mara. Guards are all in pursuit now as I enter the sacred house. The four or five guards that enter the temple are greeted with decapitations and two-handed swords to the sternum. Lydia is having none of this and suddenly calls off the marriage and leaves for Whiterun. Meanwhile the devout followers of Mara are appalled at my behavior and begin insulting me. At this point my whole wedding day has been ruined and figuring it can't get any worse I decide what the hell, and begin a complete genocide of the adherents of Mara. Well, I guess it'll be a while yet before I see that wedding ceremony.

Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Oh, with the right replacer she's a gorgeous woman. And she can weigh down my dragonborn any day as well. Aside from Jenassa, Lydia is my other vanilla follower I take with me when I decide to take one. I just like the "I'll do it if I have to" expression. As if she didn't want to. pfft... I don't think I've ever had a play through where I've proposed to her, though. I've only married Brelyna, Janassa and Mjoll. Another big girl.
dTd Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I've never been head over heels with any of the women of skyrim. Yes I think some are very beautiful but they never really took my fancy if you get me. Until I installed this mod and saw lydia, perhaps it's the hair, or her smile, she seems so demure somehow, I'm like wow I have to take her with ever character I make now http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62971/?
