Mod Organizer Profiile Problem

I have a problem when switching profiles in Mod Organizer. Most mods keep working but some of them simply die miserably. One is Predator Vision so I have to disable it, load game load save, clean save, exit game, enable mod, load game and then hope my next option gets accepted, another is Better Vampires which completely stops working and tells me the scripts aren't used even if I never changed the load order. So switching between profiles really doesn't work so well cause it's a PITA to find out what's wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME.

If someone could point me to a solution, I'd be very grateful

Normally what I do is to create a new profile specific patch mod, put it at the bottom of the load order and put the stuff generated by skyproc patchers, bash patch and merged patches as well as finis and such for that profile into it, then when I switch profiles you have the changeable stuff ready to go.

As I do not use predator vision, I do not have specific info to help you in that instance.  Better vampires however I do use, and I have not had a problem with it not working when changing profiles, so it could be something else, take a look at your plugins list when you change profile and see if any of the mods are showing missing masters, it could be one profile has a mod installed that is needed, but you missed it or for some reason its not being active in the other profile, it might be worth looking at your esp list to see if any that you know should be active have been de-activated for some reason.

I have used both. Predator vision for some reason also stops but not with profile switching. It will stop even with a marithon play (not changing profile for days) on the current profile. It tends to have more problem with large load orders. When running "light" I haven't had any problems up to level 50.. With heavy loads ... 10 or 15th level it starts to bug out.

get more involvement with other MO users and perhaps get to the bottom of this. I fortunately wasn't going through a play through where those mods were important so I haven't tried to find a solution yet myself but I would like to know what the problem is. I personally doubt it is MO causing it to flake out.. Your experiences are different from mine and Varthina has no problems with one of those mods.

I've used both mods with MO and never had a problem with Better Vampires. I do often have problems with Predator Vision, but my feeling is that's nothing to do with MO, at least in my case.

With Predator Vision I find it seems to be the mod that most often misses out when everything's trying to register MCMs at the start of a new game. If I have it installed when starting a brand new game there seems to be a 50/50 chance for me that its MCM will be unresponsive, not allowing me to select anything, and the vision effects will then be broken for the entirety of that game. For a long time now I've left it out of my load order when starting a new game, then saved, quit, installed it, loaded the save and gone into the MCM list and straight back out to persuade it to appear. After that it always works for that save.

Yes, I'm also beginning to believe it's not an MO problem but something about these mods. But I don't understand it. Switching between profiles without changing anything shouldn't break a mod.

Try creating two light profiles.. 25 mod or so (perhaps less) and have these two included. See if it does the same thing with a lighter mod order. If possible try to choose those profiles with less scripting for this test. Leave your current setup profiles alone. Dont' switch into those or any others.. Try from a clean save.. There are many on the web just download one of those somewhere in the middle of the game where you can test both mods out.. Switch and switch back a few times and see if they stop working.

I believe they will work just fine.. I think it is the volume of scripting that is going on that is causing the issue and just so happens these mods are very delicate to this. Could be wrong.. Anyway  it was what I was gong to do with Predator vision before reporting it to the author on Nexus. At least then I could show that I tried to resolve possible issues.
