Bert Goldsteen Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 i wiped my modlist a week ago, then decided to start from scratch. everything works so far except there seems to be some kind of problem with my sexlab/FNIS. If I run FNIS without sexlab everything works fine and i can use it as i normally do (e.g.: mods are read and lists are generated), but as soon as sexlab comes into play FNIS encounters errors ranging from ´´cant find file xy´´ to critical failures breaking the FNIS.exe, particularly often when reaching a point where creature anims are checked. i can´t find the error on my side and i´m not really getting it done with what i found around the interwebs so far so i would like to require some assistance if anyone knows anything please write it down below. I´m thankful for anything really
Guest Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Are you using a specific Mod Manager or you do a (silly) manual install?
Shadowscale Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 What exactly does the error say? It can't find the sexlab behavior file?
Bert Goldsteen Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 using MO and so far no errors and such except this one. depends. sometimes its along the lines of "cant find insertcreature.hkx" or just a critical failure with the result of fnis no longer working. when i restart/reinstall etc it just repeats. with the behaviour i am not too sure, because i don't really understand how fnis selects its files. all i know is that it says it fails to create the behaviour files.
Guest Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 FNIS creates the behavior file (that is one global for Skyrim) reading the ones generated by each mod and merging them. The are named FNIS_<mod name>_Behavior.hkx and are in the meshes/actors/character/behaviors/ folder. For a mod to produce the behavior file is required that a file named FNIS_<mod name>.txt exists in the meshes/actors/character/animations/<mod name>/ folder. Just in case, be sure that the meshes directory is not read only...
Bert Goldsteen Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 not sure if i understood that right: all i have to do is to make sure, that the meshes are loaded TOGETHER with the behaviour files?
Guest Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Just check if the files that are required are present in the respective folders: * behavior file (FNIS_<mod name>_Behavior.hkx) * actual animation files (<something>.hkx in the folder meshes\character\animations\<mod name>\) * FNIS animation definition file (FNIS_<mod name>.txt, in meshes\character\animations\<mod name>\) For the names of the files that seems to be missing check the error log from FNIS_GenerateForUsers.
Bert Goldsteen Posted July 3, 2015 Author Posted July 3, 2015 is there any method to easily read out the files i require? the constant error messages are not changing even after reinstalling fnis as well as sexlab. the problems seems to be something with the ´vanilla´sexlab-install i got from the download section. cant figure out what is missing and why its suddenly missing where it wasn´t before.
Bert Goldsteen Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 so after some fiddling around with the installations i now got rid of the exception errors in the FNIS-launcher. instead i aquired myself a beautiful error 2012 to lose my sanity to. Marvellous
Nichoice Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Are you using FNIS 5.5? I had the same error missing bear.hkx My google-fu reviewed that downgrading would solve it. I am now using 4.2.1 and there is no error, though I have a problem of my own installing the new XP32 Skeleton
