Pillars of Eternity and evil choices?

So, I've been a big fan of DnD games and Obsidion games, played the heck out of baulders gate, NWN, Planescape, and...  you probably get the idea. I've been toying with the idea of getting POE but i'm a little shakey on it right now and here's why.

I'm sick of saveing the fucking world.

Seriously. It's always "Hero with immense power saves the world." How many games do you know of that fit that phrase? See, I'm cool with saveing the world and all, but I want to play as a bad guy too. So almost every game i play,  why do i always feel like the good guy path is more fleshed out? Seriously, in the NWN games, you're either a good guy or a phycopath. There is no 'lawful evil' or really even 'neutral evil'. correct me if i'm wrong, but basically the two biggest ways of getting evil points is by killing innocent people or demanding more money, which occasionally locks you out of the quest. Or you could always flat out refuse quests giving valuable evil points but therefore refusing valuable EXP and resources (I remember more optional good quests than evil quests. I guess being able to kill everyone makes up for the lack of evil rewards in quests?)

I guess my question is this. To those that have played POE, how good are the evil choices? If i want to play as an evil dude, is it mandatory to kill every kitten or puppy i come across?

I tried to get into it I really did but after 5 mins maybe 10 I called it quits. My story started that I was traveling with a caravan that had to stop because My character was to sick to continue on. So who gets sent out to gather some fucking berries Yeah thats right my to sick to fucking travel character. So yeah judging by the first few mins. the evil choices are there if you happen to be a NPC

Can't really help you in regards to "evil" in PoE but ... yeah, normally "evil", efven back in BG-times, only meant refusing quests or demanding money for saving the kitty in the tree, or going on a killing spree. I don't have a problem with that because I like the hero-path and actually have trouble committing myself to the evil answers, even though I am a total cynic in real iife...(being responsible for Bowdaar killing Mission Vao in Kotor 1 still makes me feel dirty...^^)

I guess to play a truly evil RPG-"hero" just create one and then quit the game, as a truly evil guy simply wouldn't give a fuck ^^ Just kiddin' of course.

But if you wanna know an RPG that allows you to indeed side with the main evil guy and end the whole fucking world: Arcanum ...

Oh well, It is a huge let down. I also always go hero patch but I like to know that there is evil one. :P

You can't be good if there is no evil :P

Precisely, it's nice knowing it exists. I do the hero paths too, but there is still a mandatory evil play through.

I guess I'll just give it a pass then and buy it on sale. I can't fork over sixty bucks for my sickly character to go gather barries...

..(being responsible for Bowdaar killing Mission Vao in Kotor 1 still makes me feel dirty...^^)

0.0 You can do that!? I missed it! Its the wookie mission, isn't it? Grr...

You can have Zaalbar kill Mission by choosing the dark side ending. When Mission Vao confronts you on Lehon (aka Rakata Prime/Unknown World) right before leaving for the Star Forge, you can force persuade him to attack Mission.

There is no real alignment system just faction reputations that can be damaged, which would be fine but, any choice you make in the first two chapters get's thrown thanks to the NWN2 OC plot theft.  I quit playing around there because they nerfed spells which made combat far more tedious than it should have been.
