See You Sleep and Sexout

Apparently there has been some discussion about See You Sleep on these forums, but I did not see any mention of the fact that "See You Sleep" has a solution to the "first person player animation" problem.

 

See You Sleep clones the player and turns the player invisible. If it would also position you on top of your body, camera controls might be almost natural?

 

Anyways, its possible that this technique has already been discussed and discarded, but if so, I would be interested in hearing about the problems. Does anyone remember any such discussions?

I know there's a sort of amusing bug I discovered with see you sleep and the original Tryouts, though it was SI related. If while in See You Sleep Mode, the player began dancing, the real player appeared. You could then talk and interact with the cloned NPC you, and it even had your inventory. It was a great bug for getting double your inventory.

 

Wouldn't be surprised if the some thing could be forced in sexout by hitting the masturbation or vibrator key.

I'm thinking of redoing the original SeeYouSleep from Oblivion to do something similar to the FONV version. With oblivion it had to edit the beds and make them fake chairs. (Using sleep animations.) Sort of a royal mess as you have to edit beds, plus custom mods that use non-vanills beds wouldn't work without an update. To top it off, it didn't use the new OBSE command for animations.

 

I had it installed for awhile for FONV. Got some wonky bugs though with needs. I think there was a script conflict with Arwen's stuff. I could sleep for 12 hours and it wouldn't clear my sleep number and I'd have to sleep again for a few more the normal way. Occasionally food/water requirements would go haywire as well.

 

Great concept though, particularly with the encounters. I loved having to chase down the thief. Though I could do without the radroaches in the bed. That would literally freak me out to the point I'd never travel the wastes again. :D (For whatever reason, radroaches in a bed are far more scary than any super mutant.)

Another issue would be if combat starts... though currently in sexout combat seems to delay until after animation completes. (Edit: see you sleep has a check for combat. It's easy enough one of us to add to that a check, like maybe Player == Sexout.ActorB though maybe it should be a token count check instead?)

 

But emptying your clones inventory might be a good idea, and so might be continually setting your own health to match your clones, along with a few other "continually" actions, to keep things from getting too buggy.

I've had the problem with SeeYouSleep that if you don't collect the teddy bear at the beginning, player owned beds will not allow you to sleep on them. So ie, the bed at the 38 and the bed you can buy at the atomic wrangler, when you click e on it nothing happens.
