Save games won't load

I'm running into an error where I can start a new game just fine, but it will eventually CTD and all save-games CTD on load as well. My Papyrus log has a ton of errors related to zzEstrusQuest. Could it be because I'm using a custom race? Or is Estrus' current edition just kinda broken? Log attached. 

 

I'd like to play Skyrim with the LL mods, but I have yet to find one that doesn't CTD all day long. :/

There are many Sex lab mods that I'm using (25 at present) and none of them is giving me CTDs. If you have skeleton that supports custom made races, you shouldn't have a problem. The newest version is 1.95 and can be found on Nexus althiugh it is not mention as requirement under the name's topic. 

REQUIRED MODS

• SKSE 1.6.16
• SkyUI 4.1
• Estrus For Skyrim by Cotyounoyume
• Either one of SkullTyrant's or xp32's custom skeletons ( latest xp32 is required if you want to get the belly to work. )
• Actor Events v2.2
• SexLab v1.31
• FNIS 4.0 & FNIS Creature Pack 4.0

Pay attention to the requirements for these mods as well.

While not required, you will not see any body part growth if your installed body mesh does not support TBBP or BBP.

• Estrus Chaurus 1.8.3 Fluids Plugin is for Estrus Chaurus 1.8.3. Most likely, you don't have it. So don't install it.
• Any other mod that uses node scaling on the same nodes unless specifically stated to be compatible with this mod

Try to disable all sex mods (aka SexLab, Estrus and ets), run FNIS, run BOSS and try to load your saved game. Personaly, i install sex mods only when i need to record a video, or capture a screenshots. And always keep a backup of "clean saves" somewhere.

Don't know whats causing your errors how big are your savegames? Estrus is no big deal. A loadorder would help more then the papyrus log in this case so please provide one.

 

Other then that ctd on load is a common issue there are serval things you can do against it.

First use shesons memory patch

1. Download and install SKSE 1.7.1 (or newer)
2. Go to Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim/Data and see if you have a SKSE folder with an SKSE.ini file inside. If you do, add these values to SKSE.ini:

If you don't have an SKSE.ini file, create one using the editor

Sounds like nonsense especially the run boss advise since boss is outdated for ages now also there is no need to keep clean saves somewhere if you play with sexlab what is he and 99% of other users want to do (not meant any bad but your advise is useless)

CTD on load is common have you tried going into game and when you get to the select load/new game spot open the console with the ~ key and type in coc qasmoke and hit enter once it warps you to the games test area open your menu again and try selecting the save you are trying to load and see if that allows you to be able to load it.

There are still some mods out there that require BOSS I think some of them have instructions on how to get them to work with LOOT.

LOOT is BOSS v3. It got turned into a separate utility because concerns were raised about the major changes in expected functionality between v2 and v3.

if you did not install some mods you found in a rusty old chest you should use loot I havent seen a single mod that has problems with loot, but correct me if I'm wrong its way worse if you still use boss and have new mods that are not supported trough boss.

 

On the topic you are right he should try it with the console

To sort a plugin, BOSS needs it to be added to its masterlist, which is hand-ordered by its maintainers. LOOT instead reads the contents of each plugin to see which plugins conflict, etc. and uses that information to decide on the best ordering. This means that it can sort all plugins without needing them to become recognised first.

Alright, I disabled Estrus and ran it. It seems more stable, I can at least load games. I'll have to do some more in-depth testing tonight/tomorrow, but I'll try to get load orders and what experiments I run posted soon. There's definitely something with Estrus that's causing issues, could it be that fluids plug-in?

Not all mods that say to use BOSS are old rusty mods found in a chest the Skykids mod which is very up to date states this for one of the required tools. BOSS(prefered) or alternatively LOOT(not preferred) Neither BOSS or LOOT are 100% fail safe as both can still mess up.

 

I don't use BOSS for skyrim nor do I use LOOT either I just watch what I install and read everything a author posts on their download page. But if I do run into a problem I just use TES5EDIT. 

 

Also BOSS isn't completely obsolete because it is still the preferred one being used for oblivion and you can also update the masterlist yourself to add mods to it.

For the topic op has now his awnser allways read the instructions btw is really big in the authors page that you should not use the fluid plugin with newer version of estrus

If the OP still has problems please provide a loadorder as said makes it much easier then to gamble what it could be

 

 

@myuhinny still when it comes to loadorders loot is the tool to use besides manual sorting which seems for me unnecessary I still think boss is (besides some tools like the example you gave) obsolete for loadorders the feature that loot can sort plugins even tough they are not in the masterlist makes it just better den boss even if you would add masterlists yourself you would miss out mods that are not in the list.

What you said about Install and read the authors stuff should be common sense, but we have enough examples here that it isnt

Tes5edit is a nice thing, but even it dosent detect all error's but at least all "mod errors"

The thing that I'm struggling with is reproducing the CTD conditions, it seems completely random. Sometimes on save load, sometimes switching cells, sometimes on saving... I've had it do it immediately and I've had almost an hour of problem-free gaming before crashing. I've also had problems where it won't CTD, but it will sit at the loading screen forever.  I make sure I read installation instructions, I guess I'm just a natural at finding all the bugs. Maybe I should've done testing and not developing as a career.

rnd ctd's and ils is mostly memory releated the patch i posted above helps with such issues. ILS is nearly allways memory related again the posted patch helps with that and rnd ctd can be memory releated or script releated which would be hard to figure out since its most likley not a single mod causing problems its more like the package that is either to much for your system or the engine to handle.
