NMM won't enable plugins

Hopefully you guys can help, as I've searched the web and got nothing. I never had this problem with Skyrim, or before when I played NV, but now I'm having it for some reason.

Basically, NMM won't enable any of my plugins. They are all deactivated, even the official ones.

I'm using NMM and LOOT for Fallout New Vegas. Worked just fine before when I had NV installed, but now for some reason my plugins won't activate. Every single time I open NMM, all my plugins are deactivated. I even checked the plugin.txt and it is blank. When I load up LOOT, it say they are all deactivated as well.

I really don't know what to do here. I've never had this issue before, and now all the sudden I can't activate anything in NMM. If I enable them, then close NMM, they all get disabled again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wish I could help you, but I myself do not use NMM. And the thing is most LL members here use FOMM by prideslayer or jump to MO as some of us have. Though, I'm sure you might run into some who do use NMM.

But I would highly recommend FOMM if you are not familiar with MO. Or go with MO and follow the MO step guide for Fallout. The reason why I tell you is because you will have better tech support here with either one of those.

Do take this into consideration, FOMM and NMM do not play nice together and you'll end up with issues with FOMM if you decide to install and use it. I don't know if NMM and MO work well together.

If not, hopefully someone around here can help you.

Gopher does a video on how to import from NMM to MO

I'm actually going to switch from MO to FOMM for NV, because MO is broken atm, and not loading ENB stuff with the 4gb enabler

ENB works fine with my MO, but I'm using an old version. 1.2.9 for Fallout 3.

With 1.3.4 and up it's having issues. Besides, I'm running TTW, and since I have MO still installed to handle merging of .esps and packages, it's making things quite nice and simple with FOMM.

I just load the mods into MO, package them the way I want, merge the .esps, then use FOMM to create a FOMod and install. Easy as pie, and I've had no issues, so far. :)

Thanks guys for the advice. :)

It was a weird bug, but it is fixed now. Feel like of dumb for it, but I just had to open my launcher and go to Data Files once for it to register it I guess. Then everything worked fine from there on out.

ENB works fine for me as well with the 4GB patch. Just place the enbhost.exe and d3d9.dll in your exe folder that the 4GB Enabler creates. The rest of the ENB files can stay in your main folder like usual. I'm currently using Enhanced Shaders: Nevada Skies as it looks great with ILO and NVR3.

Having a perhaps similar issue. I really have no idea what happened. I tried to download a steam mod but it never showed up in the load order only in steams. I unsubscribed and tried to get rid of it, but when I did none of my plugins would work. DLC, formally working mods, and even steam mods wouldn't load. I tried all the .ini edits and the plugins text edits but nothing seems to work.

Help would be appreciated.

This is happening with skyrim though.

I would suggest you try finding that same mod either on Nexus or another site and download it.  It would seem to be unreconizable with your other programs besides steam.   Makes me wonder if it is actually in a complete  and working state.  I try to never grab mods off of Steam, I will browse it and if I find one that interests me I find another form of getting it.  Plus with their upload limit bigger mods have to be seperated into multiple downloads, stupid.

Do you have LOOT?   Also a lot of the times Steams Data Files  load order does NOT actually show the order in which they are in.  Just make sure your NMM load order is the same as it looks after you run LOOT.   You honestly don't ever need to look at the Data Files in the launcher from Steam.

Is loot a better option than NMM?

LOOT is a program, think of it as a better updated version of what BOSS should have been.  It will sort your mods into a proper load order for you.

Afterwards start NMM and make sure the load order shown in NMM is the same as the one LOOT has made.

Also, seeing as I think the OP's issue has been solved, if you are still having this issue make a new post in Skyrim's forum and we can help you there from now on.

Try doing the Validate Files in steam for your game, before that though if you altered your Ini's at all copy them so you can move them back in after the validate.

Honestly if its still not working it may be a corrupted install.  If the validate doesn't fix it, then you may have to try clearing your cache of all mods that have been installed, uninstall all mods, then delete your game folder and do a complete reinstall.

The Load orders for steam and NMM are entirely different. How do I use only NMM loadorder

A reinstall didn't seem to work I saved all my mods and resources and put them back in replacing them with new ones when needed but it still isn't working. Could it be I have too many mods I have recently been merging a lot of mods.

However I do believe it is steam's fault though, it all happened when I tried to install a steam mod.
