nyancatreborn
I decided to try out devious device and other mods that supports it, its a great mod and I am thinking of including them in my play through, the only problem is, out of no where it will sometimes say "You find a few restraining devices, you can feel the items radiating with arcane energy. Holding the devices in your hand makes you horny. breathing heavily and without thinking about the consequences you lock them shut on yourself, one after the other" this really bothers me and I been looking through all the MCM options but I can't seem to find whats causing this to happen, does anyone know? (Also, if anyone is familiar with those mods, please let me know whether they are too script heavy/bugged to be used in a playthrough) mods in my load order that uses devious device stuffs: SD+ Captured Dreams Devious Devices for the Masses II Devious Devices Expansion Deviously Cursed Loot Deviously Helpless besides these I also have Estrus Chaurus, MoreNastyCritters and Sexlab Describe and Sexlab Dialogue. thanks in advance! Kissinger
This is one of the basic functions of Cursed Loot. Link to comment
Farmthat
yep, cursed loot. Cursed loot has extensive MCM options. It's one of my very favorite mods, but it can take awhile to alter the settings in a way which you like. For example, if you have cursed loot 4.7 or 4.8, you probably want to turn off cursed loot triggering from normal doors. You can also turn down it triggering from "normal" items like barrels or sacks, so that it is more likely to trigger from chests, or it doesn't happen in cities but only in dungeons, etc. Cursed loot also has quests. Which are fun--difficult, but fun. They have a very small chance of triggering, but this can also be modified in the MCM settings. Link to comment

Nightmyste
you can turn the mod of entirely by simply setting the chance of it happening to 0 however if you don't want the cursed loot events to happen i might be easier to just deactivate the mod Link to comment

The thing is that Deviously Cursed Loot (DCL) doesn't actually put the restraints (the cursed loot) in the containers. They're only equipped via event (the popup messages), and it's done this way so that players cannot avoid equipping the restraints (except under certain circumstances) when they are triggered. The only thing DCL actually puts in the containers are the keys to get out of the restraints. Basically, to get rid of that message, you have to get rid of the core system in DCL. You could turn it off by reducing the event settings to 0 (or whatever setting it is to make it impossible to find the restraints), that would just leave you with the sex attack, solicitation, and dangerous nights modules. You'd also lose the Cursed collars and associated quests, as they're also triggered by event. Link to comment

I enjoy cursed loot and I don't mind the pop up messages.... but I don't like what I originally described "You find a few restraining devices, you can feel the items radiating with arcane energy. Holding the devices in your hand makes you horny. breathing heavily and without thinking about the consequences you lock them shut on yourself, one after the other." (Only this particular event, I love everything else) Link to comment

(Only this particular event, I love everything else) There is nothing to apologize for, you have very good English. The message you have mentioned is tied to the cursed loot chance event. This is the event that activates every time you open a valid container, and it randomly chooses if you find any cursed loot inside the container. If you find some cursed loot, that message will appear (or you could have a flash grenade or gas trap. They are in the event options of MCM), followed by the screen going dim and your character will randomly equip cursed loot based on your settings. "Minimum arousal to find cursed loot" sets the minimum threshold for activating this event. If you have it at 25, you only activate the event with 25 or more arousal. If you look at the MCM options I have mentioned, you might be able to find a way to disable the message and event you dislike. Just be aware that all of the other cursed loot modules connect to it in some way because that event determines when and where you find the cursed loot. If you have further questions, or really need help with this mod, I suggest posting in the Deviously Cursed Loot thread. Kimy, or one of the other friendly people there can really help. Ok I finally understand what went wrong now, what I was bothered with happens when I open doors (from interior cell to exterior) this led me to think that it is a random event rather than something that happened because I activated something, anyways I think my question is answered now, thank you all ! Mister X
There is a checkbox named "Explosive traps on loot" or something alike, iirc you can find it in the "Additional options" options tab. This will replace the popup box with a explosing trap, so instead of the popup your char will struggle and getting equipped. I've attached a picture of the checkbox, the menu is German, but I think you'll still find it. Link to comment
