fixing many points of oblivion

allrigth so i wanted to get back to oblivion, but i remember why i stay away from it. it was my first TES and it has lots of nostalgia too but its still no matter how much patience i give there is so many dumb things that just make me turn off the game.

i have modded shit out of skyrim but i havent really modded oblivion so much. i have every single official dlc and small addon that was released to it so thats one thing

now to the actual problems i have with the game

===========================================================================================================

leveling system is quite dumb ofcourse this being really big thing i dont really know how much there is to it

enemy scaling. i dont want bandits wear high end armors only up to steel would be like max and even that only for high level enemies

combat thats more responsive. again i dont know how much there is to change but the combat feels so unresponsive and it was actually one of first things i noticed while moving to skyrim that i could almost feel every single hit that i made or received.

some higher visuals would not be bad (shaders textures)

some alternate start

making that sneak eye more like in skyrim where you can see it slowly increase/decrease instead of trying to guess from slight increase in its brightness

some UI tweaks on onscreen UI (inventory etc could be left alone)

character models/faces NEED improvement i cannot recall a single good looking character i would have made with the character creator

===========================================================================================================

then the less important parts

i loved the realism playthrough in skyrim and getting some basic needs mod similar to realistic needs and diseases and some camping mod too would be nice.

some mod that allows players to craft weapons/armors if there is one

===========================================================================================================

i have pretty powerful pc and i could run high resolution texture pack with sharpshooter enb in skyrim getting constant 60fps so i dont think power is going to be problem.

mods i would like most if in nexus or here since these places im most used to

Levelling: Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul

Combat: Unneccesary Violence

Visuals: Quarl's Texture packs, OBGE

Start: Flipping Google it, there're HUNDREDS.

the actual reason why i came to forums to ask is to get help from community. yes i can google and yes i do google but because this is oblivion general discussion and there is lots of people in this forum with most likely lots of experience and diverse opinions too i think its allright to ask for some help.

Pretty powerful PC is pretty useless for modding Oblivion, unfortunately. What exactly do you want to know? Want to know HOW to mod Oblivion, or just want to hear some general recommendations as to what to install?

If the latter is the case, this thread is where we generally prefer. Because everyone could post the same thing as this one, each of them saying that they could use some help to start out. But in the end all such posts become very similar.

levelling -> oblivion xp if you want typical xp-based level mechanic, or various seamless levelling mods (these are like gcd in Morrowind).

combat -> uv, deadly reflex, duke patricks series, etc. so many.

visuals -> various texture packs, model replacements, plus obge/enb. again so many.

Or have you read this post?

For leveling I personally recommend Fundament.ini/Bundlement.ini with the OOO presets (an ini file - GRC-Oscuro's - is included in the distribution) in combination with Realistic Leveling. It's a bit tricky to set up, but it's worth the time. However, it's nothing compared to Skyrim leveling. That is far more better, it finally got rid of the too rigid "class" concept. I wish there was something like the "Guardian Stones" in Oblivion.

My suggestion for the next leveling overhaul: mantain intact the framework of Realistic Leveling, and include a mechanism to change the character specialization (magic, combat, stealth) at will. And the UI may need to be changed accordingly.
