TSF Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I recently had to reinstall Windows7 after a drive failure. I lost all my previously downloaded LL mods for Skyrim. I can sign in fine, I can search fine, I can go to the mod's download page, click on the green download button and go through the countdown, but then I receive a page with the error message: "Sorry, we can't find that! Please contact an administrator." There is a bracket on the right side of the message: "[10850.1]" At first, I thought it was for all files, but then I realized I could download files less than 1MB, but if it was greater than 1MB, I got the error message. This is only my second post, so I cannot attach links. However.... Example: Estrus Chaurus v3.357.7z (1.07MB), I get the error message page after the download countdown. however, I can return to the same download page and successfully download b3lisario's UNPB BBP Pregnant Body (beta).7z (783.5KB). However, most of the desired mods are well over 1MB, ie, any of the "Devious Devices" mods. The result is the same, whether I am in IE, Firefox, or Chrome, whether my antivirus is on or disabled, whether I am using my wireless router or hooked directly to my modem. I an download Windows Update files just fine, whatever the size, and I can download files from other websites. It is just LoversLab that is giving me the issue. I have turned off pop-up blocker. I have tried creating another alias for sign-in, but the results are the same. Any ideas, please?
Guest Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 You may have been "hacked" for This Site. ! . ? (sorry for bad englich)
TSF Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 GSF6996: Your English is fine. I am new to all this. Can you explain how being "hacked" affects me on this site? Update 10 mins. later...I don't think the "hacking" is the cause. I signed out, then created a new user name, new email, a complex password, then signed in with the new user name, and tried to download Devious Devices - Assets, about 54Mb, went through the countdown, and promptly got the same "couldn't find it" error message again. And that's with a brand new user name.
Aleanne Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 http://www.loverslab.com/topic/44767-sorry-we-couldnt-find-that/ Looks like it happens for some users. No solutions found, at least in the quoted thread. GL.
TSF Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 Tried that....new name, new email, complex password, same error message for the first download attempted right away. I can download mods from Skyrim Nexus with no problem. I can download Window Updates with no problem. I can go to YouTube and download. It is just LL that I am having the download problem with. I have used different account names. I have used IE, Firefox, and Chrome. I have tried with my antivirus off, IE Protected Search off, Windows Defender off, firewall off, connected my router cable straight to my modem, flushed my DNS cache, cleared History, and even used a different computer. It is the same error message.
TSF Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 Does anyone know what SSL setting, security setting, or controls need to be turned off/on in order to download Skyrim mods? A lot of people, myself included, are having problems downloading mods larger than 1 MB from LL, instead getting the error message: "Internal error. Sorry, we can't find that. Contact an administrator. [#10850.1]." I can download from Windows Updates just fine, and other sites, but LL is giving me problems. After checking and unchecking many settings boxes and security programs with no change, I checked with my internet provider company, they scanned my modem and system, and found all ports open and functioning properly. So, according to them, there should be no reason why the download won't work. Does anyone know of particular settings that will interfere with downloading LL mods?
teksyn Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 I get the exact same issue. Anything over 1mb I cannot download. I tried every fix every work around. Including 3 computers, 2 different types of internet, 3 different browsers, flushing my dns, turning off all my security measures, resetting and lowering all my security settings in my browsers, setting all my browser settings to minimum yet I still get Sorry we couldn't find that on anything over 1mb. I just downloaded a few files less than 1mb and no issues there I can download external links/files and can download anything I want off nexus but not on LL. Moderators keep saying that its not on their end but when its not just me having the problem then I think its safe to say its not on my end.
TSF Posted May 19, 2015 Author Posted May 19, 2015 teksyn, do you have satellite internet connection? I have HughesNet satellite because I live out where that is the only connection available. I am wondering if that is the problem with LL downloads. I know I had one problem a couple years ago with another website that offered PowerPoint graphics, motion screens, and short videos. I could purchase and download videos from them, but could not preview the videos because of their transmission settings for the Adobe Flash player to view the previews. At the time of my not being able to view previews, they told me they had two choices: to set their global settings for landline connects or for satellite connections. They could not do both at the same time. So, because landline (DSL, fiber, dialup) connections made up the great majority of their customers, they opted, of course, to cater their connection to the greater group. Therefore, I was unable to preview the videos through my satellite connection. (They have since fixed their transmission settings and I can again preview everything.) I have noticed a couple of posters mention they have satellite. I have satellite. If any moderator is reading this, could you please check into this possibility? I could download previously with my satellite, then it became occasionally, now, not at all over 1mb. If it was a setting on my end, the cutoff should have been immediate, but it was gradual. I think this is worth LL looking into at least, if they want everyone to be able to download.
teksyn Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 TSF, Yeah I live in Indiana in the country so I have HughesNet as well. I can download anything else from other sites but nothing over 1 mb from LL.
proletarian Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I'm having the same exact issues. I also have HughesNet satellite internet.I've even tried downloading at all different hours throughout the day and night and still get the error message.
dewayne3478 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I'm having the same exact issues. I also have HughesNet satellite internet. I've even tried downloading at all different hours throughout the day and night and still get the error message. exact same thing to the letter
teksyn Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Well sounds like LL needs to give HughesNet a call and see whats so different with the connection. There has to be some way to be able to download stuff if its a communication error between HughesNet and LL servers then there is a fix somewhere hopefully someone can help us poor country folks out >.>
TSF Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 HOORAY!!! My LL downloads are working again. I did not adjust anything on my computer since my 19 May post in this thread. So, perhaps, someone read the suggestion to check the LL server satellite connection, and made an adjustment. Three days after my post, I checked again, and the download capability was working again. Don't know without feedback from an administrator, but it is working again on my system. You others also with HughesNet should try your downloading again. If they did tweak the server, yours sould work too.
TSF Posted May 25, 2015 Author Posted May 25, 2015 AAUGH!!!! The worst has happened. My Cdrive lost its Boot Manager, and I could not repair it, So, I had to reinstall Windows. I tried to download a LL mod prior to all of the Windows Updates, and I received the same error message as before. I loaded a lot of updates so far, got a bunch more, and still no change. Fortunately, I did not loose all my mods I downloaded when the download was working. I'll install the Updates over the next couple of days and see what happens.
Anonymous63 Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Do LL downloads still work for you now? I have hughes net as well and have been going 3 weeks without links above 1mb working.
demonm4n Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Anyone have such problem that still persist? Weird though that mine sometimes work and sometimes not
proletarian Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I'm still having the same issue. I haven't been able to download the files I need for months. I've tried everything that's been suggested in other threads to fix the issue on my end but nothing has worked. I still get the same error message every single time.I've also sent a private message to an administrator explaining the problem but haven't received a reply. I'm still hoping this will be fixed one day. It's been months and still nothing. I'll attach a screenshot of the error message I get when I try to download anything....in case that helps. I'm really, really hoping that somebody can help fix this someday.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 PM me what files you need right now and I'll download them, upload them to a fileshare so you can grab them for the mean time.
TSF Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 No, LL downloads still do not work for anything 1.0 Mb or larger. I can download in the kilobyte range just fine, but as soon as I try to download one megabyte or more, I get the same error message. Just this morning, I downloaded 120 MB in multiple YouTube videos just fine. I can download from Nexus just fine. I can download program updates and add-ons just fine. But LL, I get the error message. And sending a contacting administrator message does nothing. Sigh.
proletarian Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 PM me what files you need right now and I'll download them, upload them to a fileshare so you can grab them for the mean time. Thank you for your help endgameaddiction. I have the files I've been trying to get for months thanks to you. I really appreciate your help.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 You're welcome. I can just imagine the frustration not being able to download for months. Hopefully it will all get situated soon.
OB2 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I'm also unable to locate any file over 1 meg., however I'm able to download a file over 1 meg. if they are imbedded in a page. for example Fallout_Sexus_v_3_0_2(j) approx 11.5 meg.. I connect thru satellite dish and used to be able to download no problem till a couple months ago. Not sure if it is related but I find it difficult to sign out, when It says I am signed out opening a new chrome window shows me signed in like I'm not actually signing out. to be clear i have no problem downloading just gives error after 20 sec timer
Guest Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 *Performs Conjuration Ritual Spell* Resurrecting this thread to chime in, as well. I've also been having issues with downloads. I use HughesNet for internet service, and don't have the option to connect via another provider. Wild Speculation; Technical - I believe the main issue is due to latency between my browser and the LoversLab server. When a download is queued, the system counts down the timer before starting the download, but, because of the ~600ms (or greater) latency for bits to get from one end to the other, the download fails on handshake. Like other users, the error is the generic "[10850.1]" error code. I don't know enough about the back-end coding of the site to speculate any further. Perhaps, someone could poke Ashal or another site admin to look into it. In the meantime, I'm hoping someone might be willing to privately-host a few files for me to grab from the Oblivion downloads section. PM me if you are willing to help. EDIT: Found a work-around solution: Use a VPN. There are a number of free and paid VPN services that you can use. I'm currently using Private Tunnel. The downside is that they tend to impose bandwidth restrictions for free accounts, and the speeds are a bit slower, but I can download mods, so that's a win, in my book.
