wolfjlt Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I have DDa, DDi, and DDx all installed thought I had to do it manually because MO wouldn't recognize .tgz files. I unzipped them with 7zip and copied all the files to the corresponding files in skyrim's data folder. I can see all the devices in the captured dreams display cases as well as in my inventory but when I equip them they don't show up on my character or npcs. Sadly I'm kinda new to this so I don't know where to find the papyrus log or copy the load order but all the DD mods are in the order they should be as mentioned above. any ideas would be a huge help. thank you
klappspaten Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 try to use the nexus mod manager. It copies the files in the right directories. You can use it together with MO. Humble Greed
wolfjlt Posted May 13, 2015 Author Posted May 13, 2015 try to use the nexus mod manager. It copies the files in the right directories. You can use it together with MO. Humble Greed question: if I upload all of the DD/sexlab mods into NMM would I have to uninstall them from MO? also should I start the game with NMM or MO? or should I just forget about MO all together and run with NMM?
wolfjlt Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 so I tried what you said and put all the mods through NMM and had instant CTD. But when I opened with MO again I got a few more graphics but only from devises I stole out of the display cases in Captured dreams shop. Turns out I can't upload screenshots but the slave's chains show up white with no texture and my stolen devices show on my body but no properly. I.e. the armbinder shows but my arms are not in it or the gags show but the mouth stays normal
Varithina Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Check all 3 files to see if there are textures directories included, you can do that in mod organiser by selecting the mod, and choosing information then choosing the file tree option, if there is not texture directory then you might have downloaded the replacer files for the body you are using rather than the main files; Though where did you download them from? If from here something is wrong as the downloads are hmm, rar or 7z from what I remember; The downloads for each are here; Devious Devices assets http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/269-devious-devices-assets/ Devious Devices Expansion http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1305-devious-devices-expansion-v121/ Devious Devices Integration http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/371-devious-devices-integration-02022015/ And checking all 3 downloads shows them as rar files, so I would guess you have a mesh replacer for the items rather than the main download, or the complete set with it included and for what ever reason they used tar to package it.
klappspaten Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I start my game with skse none of both MO and NMM. But you should switch the load order to this: First DDassets, then DDintegration, then DDexpantion. Another question: are you using custom body meshes like form bodyslide?? Then you should look after an replacer like: http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1520-devious-device-assets-and-expansion-meshes-for-hdt-7b-body/for 7B, and these two for cbbe http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1236-devious-devices-devious-expansion-for-bodyslide2-hdt-preg-by-rustyxxl/, http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1230-devious-devices-bodyslide-cbbe-ct77-body-tbbpintegrationexpansion/.
Veladarius Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 The files should be in .rar format, that is how they were uploaded. If the slaves chains are not textured properly then you don't have the ZAZ Animation Pack's textures installed / installed correctly, they are a separate download. The animations not working properly may be an issue with ZAZ Animations Pack as well since it is used for the animations.
wolfjlt Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 I'm using CBBE and have the corresponding DDa mods for them. no body slide should ZAZ be in the load order before the devious mods?

wolfjlt Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 ok. starting to feel really dumb here. I installed the zaz texture pack then re-downloaded all the DD mods. they were all in gzip format so they wouldn't even show up in my downloads folder when I went to open with NMM or MO. I was able open them with 7zip and and copy the files manually but I can still only see restraints that I stole using masters key for the display cases although the slave chains have texture now. I tried changing the load order to put ZAZ above DD but below sexlab and I CtD. I'm starting to think I may need to clean install. /sigh
Veladarius Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 1- How are you getting the items? As I remember those items are normal items from Assets and not scripted items. 2- Do the items show up on the slaves in the CD shop? Their items are scripted so if they don't show up then the issue is likely with Integration. 3- Does the MCM menu for ZAZ Animation Pack and Integration work? 4- Get a log and upload it, just zip it first: http://www.creationkit.com/FAQ:_My_Script_Doesn%27t_Work!
bigdan00 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Anyone know how to get the armbinder out of the game without deleting all devious device content? I hate that thing! Everyone I meet agrees to take it off in dialogue but it never comes off. I've tried unchecking it but it in mcm but it still pops up every time I find a trapped chest. Tired of going back to previous saves to get rid of the dam thing. Help!!!
Varithina Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Whichever mod is calling on the devious devices assets and such should have the option to disable arm binders, I know deviously cursed loot does. Do not forget of course that devious devices assets, integration, and expansion and the zaz animation packs are asset mods, they don't in of themselves do anything to the game, other mods call on them, you will get mcm settings for them but they won't put the stuff into the game. Which mod are you using that uses them for it assets? If you are using mod organiser, there are text files stored in each profile listing the mods installed and the load order, in not there are little buttons on the side of each panel allowing you to save the active mod list and the load order. Not sure how to get the same info from nmm, which as I used it for ages is a little bit odd.
Veladarius Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Cursed Loot has options in several spots where the armbinder would need disabled as there are several types of them. If people are agreeing to remove them but they never come off it may be an issue where the item has been 'damaged' and is no longer working properly. For NMM to export the load order there is a button that shows up on the left side (looks like a note with an arrow) and is available when looking at the load order.
wolfjlt Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 Just want to thank you all for your help. I was about to re-install but I figured I'd start a new game first for shits and giggles and all of the mods work correctly now. aside from the odd clipping from time to time with the restraining boots/leg cuffs everything is working well. again thank you all
