CTD on New Game or Load

Hello;

 

Whenever I try to start a new game, the game crashes one or two seconds after the opening movie finishes.  When attempting to load an old game, the game loads, displays a completely grey view for one to two seconds, and than ctd's.  I have run LOOT to organize the files, and I put my current order through FNVedit, which managed to complete the background loader without any problems.  In Windows Event Viewer, the new game crashes have exception code 0xc0000409 (unknown software exception), and attempting to load a previous game yields an exception code 0xc0000005 (access violation error) event. 

 

I am currently using FOMM as my mod manager, and my install path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Fallout.exe

Get it out of your programs folder that is probably one of the problems right there. fallout/oblivion have less problems when they are not in the Program Files I have both fallout 3 and NV installed in my games folder C:/games

Will removing it from the Steam folder damage anything in regards to Steam?

No that is only where steam installs the games to you will probably have to redo the folder path for FOMM so that it goes to where you have moved it to.

I don't know how well wsex-mods work alongside sexout framework without the wsex patch for sexout. Have you tried to start the game after switcingh off the wsex mods?

Unfortunately, moving the directory didn't have any effect.  Identical problem.

 

@Swyke:  Good call, deactivating the wsex mods extended the time before crash from two seconds to about five, so I guess that might've been part of the problem.  Unfortunately, it still ctd'ed.

The problem was a damaged install of Sexout Lust, complicated with an outdated version of Sexout Tryout.  Problem resolved.
