Zquad1 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Hey everyone I am Extremely Pissed Off I was converting an outfit & I was in the Creation Kit & the outfit has ton's upon ton's of textures & I Finally got every texture set to the right locations & everything & I made sure I saved periodically throughout the process with out any complications & when I loaded up skyrim everything was going good meaning no crashes at the main menu well I got to the point to load a save well the game froze just before I could click on a save so I had to Ctrl Alt Delte out of the game when I went to start it back up & everything worked great until My game loaded then I noticed my plugin didn't load. so I loaded the armor up again in the Creation kit & this is what I got: so I click "Yes to All" & this is what pops up next: & it doesn't matter what I click on the outfit will not load up in the Creation kit is there any way to save the data on the plug-in so I wouldn't have to do thee extremely tedious texturing job all over again or am I Fucked???
Kendo 2 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Have you updated the CK recently? After this last bit with them 'updating' the CK for mods-for-cash I kept getting and error for steam_api.dll not being there. It WAS there and it took a week for Steam Support to answer my email. Their was response was "Have you tried reinstalling the game?" Anyway, if you closed the CK your changes may or may not be there. I found the solution to my problem here: http://pcsupport.about.com/ Maybe they'll have something on what you're talking about. Hope so.
Zquad1 Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 Updated the Creation Kit... Yes infact everytime I load the Creation Kit it checks for updates.. so yeah it's updated.. I could re-install the game but that won't solve my .esp problem. Well I saved it like 4 times before closing out the creation kit just to make sure I saved it & I would wait like 5 seconds in between the saves, & I have done this millions of times so why it would destroy the .esp is beyond me, & I know the Creation Kit is one big piece of crap filled with errors, but I didn't know if there was a way to recover the data I had recorded on the .eps or like I said.... am I Fucked!!! LOL
Kendo 2 Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Make a back up of your esp and see if it will load in TES5Edit. TESEdit should tell you if there's a critical error. If it does load without errors just delete one of your texture sets and save the esp. Then load that into the CK and see what happens.
Zquad1 Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 ok I checked it in TESV Edit & I got this message:
Zquad1 Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 DAMN IT!!!!! I thought as much... FUUUUUUU...... I spent like 2 whole days working on that Mod, I would love to tell Bethesda where they can stuff their piece of crap CK.... Thank you friend, I really do appreciate your input...
