ivanov13 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I've been struggling with this follower for a good few months, and what started as an attempt to learn how to make followers has yet to see any progress. I'm hoping a more skilled modder can give me some tips and help me complete this follower In attachements there's a reference pic of the source character, as well as the follower results i've been getting. I also included all the files i used to make her. Thanks in advance Chargen exports: Eriana.nif Eriana.dds Ref pic: Attempt result: Eriana follower V2.1.7z
azmodan22 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Maybe this will help :-) http://www.loverslab.com/topic/38942-making-custom-followers/
ivanov13 Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 Hmmm... From what I see in that thread and the tutorial it seems that thought the follower's NIF matches the exported face, she still uses the appearance determined by the CK. Any idea why that might be?
azmodan22 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 You didnt export the facegendata of the follower from CK and then use nifmerge to merge the nifs exported by CK with the one exported from racemenu. Basically, this: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Using_a_face_made_with_Chargen_Extension_on_an_NPC_for_Skyrim
ivanov13 Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 That didn't work; it's what i've been doing this whole time :/ I tried again and pasted the results below in screencaps. However, i found this in an editor warning .txt file "FACEGEN: Could not find (and apply) race morph 'AyleidRaceEriana' in TRI file 'Actors\Character\Character Assets\FaceParts\FemaleHeadBrowsRace.tri' for geometry FemaleHeadBrows." Might the problem be related to the custom race i made for her?
azmodan22 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 It could be. I dont think so though. I have created a few followers from a couple of custom races but I didnt have any issues. On a side not, from the images you have uploaded it seems that either you have created an extra hairline fro the hair in the CK, of the export is missing one. What you should do is double click on the orange message is nifmerge that says there will be issues with this merge. Nifmerge must be updated to support all the mods you have installed and used for your character. There is a tutorial in the links I sent you. If you are using a custom race, it could be that nifmerge does not recognise that custom race mod and does not merge the nifs correctly. That message must be green for the merge to work correctly.
