Codeskieth: it works fine on my computer so yeah it must be the 1.6 update' date=' and since I don't have it I don't know what it's breaking with the race. I guess I'll be putting off updating my game until there's a fix for the custom races -.-

[/quote']

As I understand it you will have to update your races to work with the update, because Bethesda wont do it. But I don't know for sure, maybe you could ask Trykz. Trykz had a hard time fixing hers/his custom made races after bethesda broke them with an update, so he/she'll probably know more. :o]

Wait, what do you mean by update? do you mean re download the esp and stuff for the race, or do something like start a new character....?

I meant the game update.

if someday i see a Night Elf/Kaldorei race in your mod man(alright that the Judei race really looks like the NE's), i'll throw Moonlights of awesomeness!

this mod is really awesome! =D

Hi

Great mod, I love the night-elf style ears!

been playing a Female Drodel for the past few hours

I'm using the Dawnguard version.

just a few things I've noticed:

It seems that so long as chest armor is equipped,

I can equip infinite rings (though none show up visually)

I tried it with a Judel (F), Drodel (F), Khajiit (F) and a Nord (M), it didn't happen with the Khajiit or Nord.

I'd left my other mods enabled while testing, so if it's just me then it's probably just be a conflict or something.

(Not a big deal anyway, wearing many rings and such)

For both the Judel and Drodel, while I had the usual selection of everything else (hair etc) there was only one eye color option.

And lastly, not really a bug, but with the Drodel, while I love the shadow aura effect while sneaking, it makes it a lot harder to use the bow in first person.

I had the same issue with the Ebony Mail, ended up getting a mod to remove the visual QQ

I don't suppose there's a way to have it the visual disabled while in first person?

edit - thinking, perhaps make it two spells, one with only the visuals with an additional ispc1stperson = 0 requirement, the other with the sneaking bonus as it currently is.

Anyway, cheers! =D

Ilubtoille: Right now there are a lot of bugs with the dawnguard version and I'm basically remaking the mod to get it working -.- including getting all the eye, hair, brow options in the showracemenu. Hopefully I'll have all the bugs worked out either tonight or tomorrow. I also could look into getting the shadowy effect to not appear in first person cuz I also have that issue since the Drodel are my personal favorite and I like using bows.

Unskilled: I'm currently working on a way to get apachii hair to work with my race again and I removed the vindictus hairs from my race since they were a little buggy, but u can add them manually with the creation kit if u still want to use them.

Fixed the missing hair and eye issue and Apachii hairs now work again with the dawnguard version of my race.

Added new ears to the Fae from Nouserhere's mod on skyrim. I've also been working on some custom spells for each of my races that you'll be able to find in game, but only for the dawnguard version.

Also I've changed the Drodel shadow effect so that it dissappears when u go into first person but u don't lose the sneak bonus this makes it easier for those who use bows like me.

I've also fixed the new face markings for the Drodel so they're not so shiny.(they're are from the Drow race by Zazemel on the nexus. I liked the markings but I like my drow race better).

Another change is that I've made it so most creatures will be friendly to the Judel, but I haven't actually tested it yet so please let me know if u play this race and it gives u issues and I'll either fix it or remove it.

my bad, didn't notice the race compatibility mod was required again, loads fine now.

Drodel - the Dark Embrace is currently set to IsPC1stPerson = 0 or sneaking to activate,

resulting in the shadow effect unless you're in first person and standing,

removing the 'Or' fixes it.

I couldn't tell if the muffle bonus was working, it wasn't showing up in the effects menu, but perhaps it's not meant to.

Otherwise it works well =D

Just tried a Male Judel (fresh),

didn't notice any animals being friendly without using the daily power, wolves, bears and skeevers attacked while bunnies, foxes and deer ran.

I've apachii hair installed, but I couldn't use the hair styles on your races,

Drodel (F) had the default selection

Judel Male only had the one hair option, female had default

Also the Male Judel skin colors were light to dark brown, instead of the more exotic night-elf colors that the female has; though perhaps this is intentional.

Other than minor stuff it plays well, no crashes or anything game breaking,

Okay I've fixed the Drodel sneaking effect (sorry about that) and added the custom skin tones to the males of each race. Also added the tattoos to the Judel race (forgot to implement them) and the animals being friendly to them without the daily power still doesn't work (either I'll give up on that or get it working eventually).

Next I'll look into the custom hair mods problem, which is weird since they work with my skyrim...

for Judels being creature friendly,

only way I found while playing around, was by adding factions via console in game.

ie player.addtofaction 'CreatureFriendFaction', 'PredatorFriendFaction' and maybe 'SprigganPredatorFaction'

applying these to the actor - preset npcs didn't seem to do anything,

but maybe a magic effect with a script to add the player to these factions,

then turned into a spell and added as a racial trait would work?

(I loath scripts so I'm not going to test that theory XD)

I'd guess the original one going by:

"DawnGuard Compatibility Version requires the latest patch and DawnGuard expansion"

Didn't even see that. Thanks, hope the 'original' file has been keeping up as well d:

I just wanted to say thank you for creating this mod. I've been looking to remake my Night Elf from Oblivion since I picked up Skyrim and now I'm able to carry on her adventures. =) I even managed to make a companion to tag along.

My character is on the right and the left is my wannabe Fandral Staghelm follower. XD Again, thanks so much, and I look forward to following this mod.

I have this installed and it seems to work well with Tera hair but I don't get the faces as shown in your pic, is that another mod?

Hmm.. I don't believe these races work 100% correctly any more. I can't get them like the pictures. Got a feeling the latest patches messed things up.

I have a few problems with this mod for some reason when I go to make a character as one of these races one race has no face and the ears seemed messed up on all is there anyway for me to be able to fix this?

Edit: sorted out the problems I had though on the Rakiel Race the ears don't show is there a way for me to fix that?

New Edit: ears for the Rakiel race now show will edit more if anything happens

Could someone please confirm if this mod is still working? The races are not appearing properly for me at all.. their faces look horrible and vanilla, not like the screenshots.

I have the latest skyrim patch and am still using this mod. I'm not using the dawnguard update because it would crash my game. To get faces similar to those on the first page, I suggest getting mods that change the vanilla face shapes or Race menu mods like enhanced character edit or racemenu. They offer more sliders and options to make prettier faces.

This is my judel race character in my current game
