Zazemel Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Zazemel I had a similar problem when I first installed. You should look up the "Ashen" race. It's the race that these elves are based on and both here and the nexus there's a slew of textures you can use that is compatible. Once you install a matching set of textures for the face and body you'll get rid of both the seam and the tone difference on your elf. Basically install the Ashen textures into the Judel or whatever's texture folder. I'm not having your problem with the default underwear so just make sure you have the body mod you like installed and the correct Ashen textures for that body installed as well. I do have the right body mod, but it does not seem to affect this race only. As for the Texture. Big files to download. X.x Hope this works. Edit: Ok I think I bit off more than I can chew. D: I'm not even sure what I'm doing anymore. I can't figure out how to get the blender to work. >.> Ok, figured out what textures to change. Though still have no idea how to use the texture blender. As for the underwear I'm going to see if I can't manually add the body to the race since I noticed the race is it's own gender?
xiro8877 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 These elves have a separate folder for their meshes and textures. For instance. data/meshes/actors/character/Judel or data/textures/actors/character/Judel your textures and body mods would need to be dropped into Judel not just dropped into the textures or meshes folders as usual. This was in the readme lol

As for the texture blender, that thing is so vague doesn't even say how to change the texture directory or even tell it where to search.
Fox Maiden Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Texture blender should work just by clicking on it... as long as its in the skyrim data folder.

In the body mod, if you follow the folders through textures > actors > character > female, you will see files labelled femalebody_1.dds and similar. If you go to your Judel mod folders, go to textures > actors > character > Judel > Female and copy the body mod textures in (all of them). Repeat the same for the meshes (ie. copy the meshes from your body mod into the corresponding Judel directory). That's about the best way I can explain it. Good luck

Decided to mess with manually adding body files into the zip. Got the body from the oriental race and it fixed all my problems. However, the body is completely independent of other races. Which i'm not sure why. So any body mods I add, don't affect it. So I decided to add the demon tattoo mod to the body in bopes it would gain the body physics. No luck there. Screenshot for the sake of it.
Silvist Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Heyo everyone, Seriously still this is one of my favorite elven races. It was just very well put together, and I really like how most of my characters turned out. I figured I'd share my current Judel elf with you guys. Leona Draconis:
AzureMouse Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Okay I've finally updated my races again and combined them into one mod, I also fixed the lighting issue on the ears... Unfortunately since my computer broke I have no new pictures of the race, fortunately tho I was able to back up my mod on a network drive before hand, so I posted what I have so far and I'll update it as soon as I have my own computer back. -AzureMouse-
SenReality Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Truly hope you either fix it or acquire a new one, this mod is sublime, three unique races, albeit I know of two which influenced these races, Night Elves and Blood Elves~ nice work, they all look beautiful~
kaliiz Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Hi there, this is a really nice looking mod and I am really looking forward to playing one of your new races, but during character creation I can't change the eye colour (the slider can only be moved by dragging the arrow with my mouse but still no change in the eye colour) and the hair choices for females is limited to the tera hair pack, which is a choice of around six styles and on the male section there is only one hair option. I have installed the DD eye selection, racial compatability and the Vindictus hair, I already use Apachii but still no extra options, not sure if this is how it's supposed to be or if it can be fixed at all, perhaps it is a conflict of some kind with my other mods, sadly I don't have a clue about this kind of stuff(good old BOSS), any help would be appriciated.
SenReality Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Uhm a small tip, sorry for the post spam - when you are able to, try to make it so this race mod isn't dependent on the main body mesh and texture files in character assets folder, try to make it independent - allows better customization, plus you wont frequently get the ugly neck seam, I'd do this myself but due to the great powers that be called 'Steam' - I cant download the CK, since it doesn't show up in my tools list or I'd help with working out some of the bugs and whatnaught.
xiro8877 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Haven't downloaded the updates yet but this is still my favorite race set. Can't wait to get home and check out the updates in detail.
Kraxon Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Nice. All of them work perfectly in my game. Thanks for sharing!
xreddawgx Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 it would be cool to make a female companion from the Drodel Race i would definately download her
AzureMouse Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Finally got a new computer and got everything installed so I can work on my mod again XD Just added a quick update today, so far the females of each race are almost done, I got lazy when it came to editing the males will add the new skin colors to the males later. Also added a chest to get your abilities back incase you use the showracemenu. More updates to come and I may add companions for each race, once I learn how.
Kraxon Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Does everything work with the new 1.6-Update already? Like mounted combat and stuff?
codeskieth Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Hmm i seem to have a problem when turning into a vampire for the Judel race (which i love BTW, thanks!!). When turning into a vampire it crashes the game, i have tried it multiple times and it crashed each time, though im not sure why.... any ideas?
AzureMouse Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Kraxon: I don't have the l.6 update yet so I don't know if those things work with my mod. Codeskieth: I'll see if the vampire transformation works on my computer, and if it doesn't I'll do my best to fix it, I may have messed up when remaking the race, who knows, but I'll look into that today. -AzureMouse-
Kraxon Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Kraxon: I don't have the l.6 update yet so I don't know if those things work with my mod. Hm. Probably not then. Apparently the 1.6 update does strange things to custom races. :/
codeskieth Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 oh, well i do have version 1.6, so maybe that is what is causing the problem. And thanks for the quick reply.
AzureMouse Posted June 30, 2012 Author Posted June 30, 2012 Codeskieth: it works fine on my computer so yeah it must be the 1.6 update, and since I don't have it I don't know what it's breaking with the race. I guess I'll be putting off updating my game until there's a fix for the custom races -.- -AzureMouse-
EbonCobrA Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 First off, thanks a lot for this mod, I love having WoW-like races in Skyrim, I recreated a lot of my own characters in the game now. I have some problems with the races which have been combined in one mod. I used your separate mods before and never had these issues. I can't change any of the hair, eyes or eyebrows for Judel and Rakiel Races (Haven't really tested Drudel). Judel doesn't allow me to change the skincolor to anything else than the standard blue one. Last thing I noticed is that the ears of the Rakiel race don't change with the skin color. The skin color was near brown and the ears where still white. I have Apachii Sky Hair, Tera Weight Fix Hair, CBBE custom body and Official CBBE Face Pack and Racial Compatibility. I extracted the first main file and then pasted the update over it, is there a step I am missing? Do you think it would be possible to add new types of eyebrows like the ones from the Blood Elf and Night Elf races?
Silvist Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Heyo everyone, I don't have any issues with your races in 1.6 Azure. Since you use the race compatibility that's pretty much the best bet to make races work. I was able to with some scripting, use mods on custom races that is typically only made for vanilla races. Like for example Belua Sanguinare Revisited - Dynamic Vampires. If you don't have the script set up right for vampires, it won't work on custom races; for example. Glad to see your still at it ^^

But I don't know for sure, maybe you could ask Trykz. Trykz had a hard time fixing hers/his custom made races after bethesda broke them with an update, so he/she'll probably know more. ]
