[Idea] Estrus in Aprocypha

Mods that can implement more tentacles in a gameplay fashion are always a welcome sight for me. Though I love Estrus in Oblivion and Skyrim, the main detractor with the thing is just that there's no time to really use it apart from deliberately wanting sexytimes to occur. It's too powerful against female opponents in a combat situation, and something doesn't fly with me when it comes to the idea of striking them down afterwards or while they're... preoccupied. If this secret project of yours happens to involve letting the player inflict tentacles on opponents, I'd just like to take this time to suggest that the tentacle effect make the victim cease aggression upon being hit by it and flee in terror afterward so the player can decide for themselves if they want to merely incapacitate their foes or do something else, and possess a fitting cooldown for its effectiveness.

I would be very intrested in this mod, how is it coming along?? Cant wait to see it.

Progress is steady, but slow. I have the general overarching story idea well enough figured out that I am happy with it, the struggle now is coming up with the details. I have the first 2 quests pretty much worked out, but they are a pretty short and just a general introduction to the story. Coming up with the quests after that and how to progress the story is what I am currently stuck on as well as what choices the player will have and writing dialog for npcs . Let me know what kinds of quests you enjoy or dont enjoy and if you have any quest ideas feel free share.

Aloysia, you still alive? How's it going on with the mod?

Yup still alive and still slowly plodding along. I am learning a lot of this from the ground up and keep finding every time i think i understand something and push onwards i run into something else i don't know and have to start learning. The last month or so i have been on a bit of a sidetrack trying to learn 3d modeling so i can make some custom armor, its a little bit more involved than i thought it would be when i started and i haven't been happy with any of the results so far but I am slowly improving.

I just came across this thread and would be another supporter of this mod. I don't know crap about modding, but would be willing to help test it whenever you get a chance to get it going!

Another person who'd be interested in this going through. Estrus is one of the mods I've stuck with in my various playthroughs for Oblivion, and I actually have the linked version of Estrus in my Skyrim game that I've yet to actually use (Not gotten the shout for the Throat of the World yet...)

For the question on the 'sharing of knowledge' that Hermaeus Mora and involving the Shouts, potentially it could be that you have to do a 'challenge' for ol' Hermaeus using the specific shout. Perhaps using Unrelenting Force to push a boulder, or set a line of bonfires alite... simple tasks that Hermaeus may want to examine the poweress of a Dragonborn for the first time in god knows how long, first hand? Rewarded for your demonstrations could easily result in new spells and weapons based on Hermaeus Mora and naughty tentacles? I personally would suggest a Tentacle Whip spell for a basic Destruction or Conjuration, for combat purposes. Heck, the reward for the Shout tasks could be a Shout created by the tentacle god to give the dragonborn some sort of tentacle armor, like Dragon Aspect?

I would also love a mod like this. As for lore-based usage...punishment perhaps? Because hey if Miraak can get killed by a tentacle as an extreme punishment then why can't the Dragonborn be sexually assaulted by them as a milder one? You know...for snooping at information they shouldn't be looking at without Herma's permission (it could trigger by opening a book inside Apocrypha, since I know some very rare books are kept there.)

Also those small pools full of whipping tentacles are just begging to be used as Estrus attack spots.

I don't think we really need a reason for Hermaeus Mora (and his minions) to keep the Dragonborn alive : He's already shown that he's quite interested in us and considers us his ally to some extent. The very fact that the player cannot die in apocrypha, and is instead sent back to his previous location shows that.

Some sexual punishment can simply be a way to keep the Dragonborn away from the throng of knowledge available in there, should she be deemed too weak to access it. Or who knows, she might start liking it and accept to become his champion.

At least, that'd give me an almost believable reason to actually not get angry whenever he calls me his champion at the end of the Dragonborn quest line (On a side note, if someone wants to make a mod where I can repeatably kick Hermamora's ass until he apologizes for referring to me as his champion without my consent, I'll gladly download it and call you the greatest modder alive)
