FALLOUT GETTING STARTED

You can use NMM to handle the downloading of the mods, not the actual installation of the mods. You would just download with NMM as normal and move the file from NMM's folder to FOMM's once the download completes.

Like with FOMM, you would have had to set that folder up the first time you used NMM to manage FNV mods. If you don't remember what it is, launch NMM for FNV and look in the settings.

When using FOMM for the first time, you should be prompted to select a directory in which to store your mods. Download the files to there instead of using NMM. Alternatively, since NMM can be a handy download manager, you can download to NMM and then move the mods from the NMM mod folder to the FOMM mod folder. It is not suggested to use NMM to install because NMM has a habit of silently failing to install an entire mod, which can lead to errors. That does not mean that you cannot use NMM, but keep in mind that if you do, and require assistance with an issue, one of the first things you will be asked is if you installed with FOMM, and if you didn't you'll be told to try that first.

Or point your fomm to your nmm download directory which would make things easier.

i have the mods under the mod list in the pakage maneger but cant get them in fomm. sorry for the spelling getting frustrated. r u sure fomm is better than nnm for fallout nv?

I don't understand what you're asking. If you have them in the Package Manager then they are in FOMM, unless there is a Package Manager in NMM I wasn't aware of. Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Yes, FOMM is preferred over NMM for FNV.

thanks to your help i am on my way too moding fallout nv. something that still dont work is body replacer mods like type 3. in skyrim  just turn the mod on most of the time works. what am i missing here?

Posted

You'd have to specify what you mean by it not working, because body mods are installed just like every othe

well i was trying to get a nude body replacer the beware of girl type 3, and it was not working. saying something about archive invalidation. but there was a text guide to fix the issue. there is something you can tell me. does sexout come with a male nude body replacer or will i need to search for one?

i need help with fomm. i installed Bouncing Natural Breasts body in nmm and everything works fine. but if i install it into fomm the texture is messed up. i i tried to post a screenshot and failed

Did you toggle Archive Invalidation in FOMM?

yes when its on its the messed up textures. when off its the vanilla body. i am still trying to figure out how to show you screenshoots

The black underwear bug is almost always caused by Archive Invalidation being off. Are you sure it's on? If you are, double-check that you followed the installation instructions in the BNB readme.

its not only the underwear but gaps in the hips and missing the nipples. the read me is blank, and the invalidation in on. when i turn it off the body reverts to the vanilla body

You're sure the readme is blank? The file specifically says that the installation instructions are in the readme.

i looked in my read me in the program files. it opens and is blank

You should download the file again, it may be corrupt.

downloaded it again and no change. can you download it and read the readme and tell me how its supposed to be installed. you might have better luck.
