Guest
Hey everybody, So, at least for me (AFAIK) when I open a page, the site goes white for a split second before displaying it. I'm not sure how long it's been happening, all I know is that it makes browsing LL at night quite painful for the eyes T_T I switch between Opera and Chrome sometimes and this occurrence is present in both. Anything I can do about this? (Besides wearing sunglasses of course ) Thanks! Link to comment
myuhinny
Not sure but it could be caused by this for chrome. http://techcrunch.com/2014/11/24/chrome-will-start-blocking-all-remaining-npapi-plugins-in-january/ Link to comment
bjornk
It's been like that for quite some time. It may be related to how the page is rendered by browsers. BTW, both Chrome and Opera use the same engine (of Google) which is called Blink, unless of course, you're using Opera 12.xx or an earlier version. Have you tried with Firefox as well? TheDude2014
It is or its a computer malfunction but then itd happen to every site he went to, and since this doesnt happen to me its safe to say that loverslab doesnt load like that then it must be browser problem. I use mozilla firefox btw try that and see if it works better. Link to comment
bjornk
I've just tried loading the site with Opera 12.15 (with the old Presto engine) and it seems to load normally, without the white screen. Which means the issue is specific to Chrome and other browsers using the same engine.Update: I'm afraid my initial observation using Opera 12.15 above wasn't so accurate. You do see a white page occasionally right after the browser loads the 24th or 25th element on the page. I don't know what that is, but whatever it is, the browser waits for it to finish and only then you see the actual page. While waiting for the browser to load the rest of the page, you see the white screen. Every browser I have does that, including Firefox. It's got nothing to do with browser extensions or plugins either, as I don't use anything with Opera and Firefox. Link to comment
