Bodybuilding is for people who live in their body. I do Bodyforging.

I seem to have noticed that a few people work out on this forum. And I know of experience that when you spend so much time on something, you like to show it. Especially when physical changes are involved. (Hell, would I be pissed if someone still saw me like the chubby kid I was a few years ago)

So I made this thread to basically talk about anything related to working out.

Not really into selfie and nobody to take pictures, here is my bodyweight-workout-oriented room for now !

Once again, sorry for the quality.

How do you like to work out ? A special weird detail about it ? What's your daily routine ?

To start it, I'll say that when I'm exercising, I like imagining people stalking me. x)

EDIT: I didn't know bodyforging was actually the name of something when I wrote the topic. Still, I like the sound of it. Just ... Don't imagine me doing silly stuff with my legs on silly music, okay ?

I like to stay fit considering my past  as a athlete it's hard to not want to try and keep the body I had when I was younger but honestly I think some people take working out to far.

I for example have no desire to look like this. It's one thing to be physically fit and nicely toned but but damn set limits.

Yeah, that's a bit too much..

Chicks like Michelle Lewin though... ... SMOKIN' HOT

I'm a man but I don't enjoy or like the look of big muscles. I prefer exercise that is good for weight loss and toning, rather than building muscle.

Mostly resistance training in the fact I do more with light dumbbells than large weights. I work out more like the average woman, if that helps. Once being classed as morbidly obese made me want to be thin, instead of bulky.

I like her, but I don't like people calling her korra :(

The first girl's groin looks like a singularity to me ...

The one they call Korra is a different girl...Sandra Prikker. ..there is some resemblance...

..though any slightly buffed and tanned girl could be "Korra".

...also..DAT ASS..

If there's anything I respect more than fit people, it's people who go from fat to fit. It takes a special kind of thick head to turn your way around.

A little bulk doesn't hurt though, it helps keep the fat from coming back in the long run.

Well I used to be over 23 stone. It's about just over 320 pounds I think. I was easily consuming nearly 3000 calories a day in most days. I decided to change it after I looked down and realised I couldn't see my penis. It was easily the most depressing and disgusting feeling.

I now drink water and black coffee (coffee black is good for combating weight gain if taken straight up) only. I eat only white meat and fish instead of red meats, I make all of my own meals, and I don't have dairy or really any gluten.

I recommend blue fish over white fish any day, also eat fruit before meals, never after, it makes you sate enough to eat less food and it allows a quick activation of the metabolical system, also don't wait after a meal to workout, do so right after the meal as that IS actually a prime moment for workout, also focus on building muscle because it will passively burn your fat away as your body will have a growing energy demand and will quickly tap into your supplies. Cut out simple sugar and starchy food, no white bread, eat cereal for fiber because your new diet will certainly cause constipation because it lacks fiber naturally, so you will need something to keep the stools going, black coffe is also good for your stools, listen to uncle sergals good hearted advice and good luck.

I'd say it's pretty easy to say that someone looks like a fanart of a fictional character, especially when the position are close enough for one to be a ripoff of the other XD

Sorry, I don't listen to anything you have to say. I've done pretty well so far, losing over half my weight. I'm a healthy 12 stone, which is ideal for my BMI.

o.o Wait what? This modding community lifts, brah?! Ermagherd.

Aside from being in a hospital from Oct 2014 till Jan this year, I had been an avid strength training/bodybuilding enthusiast and I competed in 3 amateur MMA fights down at Turfway Park in KY (United States for any foreigners), I actually have a record if you google my name albeit it isn't much because omg those guys are tougher than the street riff raff here XD. But I'm that nerdy kid who was fat as shit, then thin as paper, then I chased a dream and kinda did it :P And that's mah story. I'd offer up my real name here so you could all google meh but I'm not sure about forum rules regarding that o.O PM if actually interested though.

As for now, I lost 30lbs from being injured, put it back on in 4 weeks and I'm probably the strongest guy you'll meet who can't actually walk for more than about an hour! Recovery sucks -_-"

That being said, body dysmorphia is a motherfucker...  I still see my 125lb skinny self when I look in most mirrors v.v

TL/DR: I lift, bro. QQ

I always stayed fit, but I didn't start lifting until recently. I really have no idea why I didn't do this before. The amount of strength I've gained is crazy. I honestly thought that to pick up significant strength, you needed to be up in the gym for 2 hours a day. But no. 2-3x per week for under an hour. After three months, I'm about %60-70 stronger. I'm floored at the difference and how easy it is at this point.

I know it's difficult at the upper levels. I still don't have the dedication to be 200+ at %15 bodyfat. But, putting some basic size and strength on has been very easy. I'm far less tired than all the running around I'm used to doing, and that stuff is also becoming easier due to the increase in strength.

Some people out there believe in genetics. Way too much. They think their whole bodyshape is written in their DNA.

They don't think that exercising daily and putting effort in it changes anything, because of that one time when they went running 20 mins three days straight and it didn't do anything.

I was baffled to learn that.

But there are people out there who think fit and hot people have it easy, because of DNA. They think genetics are unfair. I'm baffled to see that someone could think that.

I usually tend to be a bit cocky. I like showing that I know, that I can. Can't help it, though I try to stop talking from times to times. That makes me the asshole who always correct people, who always debate beliefs.

But these ? Nope. I don't have any problem leaving them in their ignorance. I only tell them one thing:

"If fat and ugly are in your DNA ...Then maybe we don't want these in the genetic pool."

Similar story here...August last year at 5'7 (am female by the way) I was 89 Kilo (196 Pound), I went strictly Paleo Diet and lost 19 Kilo (41 Pound) over the course of 4 months and on top of that I found all this energy, no longer tired and exhausted all the time, no longer constipated and skin problems I had all went away (cysts, etc...)...that is no Grains, no Sugars, no Dairies (can have Butter though), no Processed Foods (aside from tinned Salmon, tinned Coconut Milk/Cream and tinned Tomatoes), only using Coconut Oil, Olive Oil and Flaxseed Oil (no other Oils)...Now all Grass fed Red Meats (including Offal), Eggs, lots of Wild Salmon and never ending Vegetables with a little Fruit thrown in. Some more to it, Nutrient Density, Gut Health, etc...but that's enough rabbiting from me  :P

I would like to tone up more, didn't exercise through the initial weight loss, but have been looking for Cardio exercises I can indulge in daily since, I do Martial Arts (Akido) twice a week, but would love to do more if anyone has any suggestions? My problem is a malformed Bone in my feet, the bone is too long and thus pushes through between the pads of the ball of my feet, so can't walk too far (about 3 Blocks perhaps my limit, then the pain starts wearing on me), definitely can't run or jog as the pain gets excruciating, always having to wear heavily padded shoes and walk with my ankles turned slightly inwards to protect those bumps).

Abefore starting to work out, I spent about 6 months doing cardio every day. My mom stumbled upon an exercise bike, so I basically spent 40mins a day on it (just enough time for a Supernatural episode :P). Otherwise, lightly boxing a punching ball can be a good cardio exercise, but you won't get the same stamina out of it.

That's pretty much exactly what I did before getting into lifting too. After making concrete weights and setting up the home gym though, I never went back to either biking or running. The only thing I keep doing that involves cardio is the old raggedy punching bag.

Fuck cardio, I hate that shit with a passion.

Incline cardio is the shit! It's the best form of, and only cardio I still do. Bought a treadmill just to be able to do it whenever I want to at home. It's that good imo.

Besides that, I'm not really all that focused on how much I'm lifting during each set and repetition. As long as it burns for a long period after, I'm happy.

Also started using a no-carbo diet for the past month. Gotta say it works like a charm. 6 meals each day, consisting off eggs, meat and dark green leafy vegetables, like spinach, brocoli and kale. The vegetables are some of the strongest hormon amplifiers that exist. So I try and superload as much I can of those.

o.o Am I the only one here not in a cutting phase?

I'm forever bulking lol. Gallon of milk a day + meals I am in the 5K calorie range daily and bust ass in the gym. All that intake and I still have nice abs, so I don't see any point in a cut lol.

Not really in "cutting phase" even if I'm not eating carbo. My body just seem to react better to using fat as fuel source instead of carbo. After I switched over to the diet I have waaay more energy during workouts then when I was eating carbo. It's definetely something I'd recommend trying.

I never found diets worked. I just up and decided to... eat less. XD

I started many years ago during my highest weight and I just decided enough was enough and started eating less. For a few weeks I was really hungry and had some major stomach pains, but in reflection, maybe I should've managed it better. It's all good now though.

Zero carb diets work. No doubt. My biggest issue when starting it was the thirst tbh. Constantly so damn thirsty...
