I take it future versions of this mod went pay only? Onikikay hasnt made an appearance in months and see that many versions have already passed on the paysite. plus the many complaints of broken links, not a good sign.

links working for me for the public release, and alot of the new features in the patreon version are buggy or unfinished(just look at the community tab on the patreon page if you can). I've been playing the latest patreon release, and there's a few bugs I've encountered already and reported. I think the reason is lack of polish maybe. The last public release was back in september, not that long ago imo.

yeah maybe so, but part of hosting a mod also includes offering support, which not showing up for 3 months only proves my theory. if you can get support from a donation site but not a free site, then its obvious the creator doesnt care much about this one aside from advertising purpose it serves by directing people to the patreon page. 

 

I know some will hate me for this post but being that i've highly recommended this mod to tons of people, i therefor think its only right i be able to voice my opinion. that and the fact that a requirement of posting mods on LL is a mod must be free. i believe it was said somewhere, correct me if i'm wrong... that paywalls may be used for donation but the same must be available to the public within a reasonable time. i would think support is included in that. if i'm wrong then i offer my deepest apologies.

how do i reset kinky world settings back to default settings?

i just started playing again and my animation sequences only go for a matter of seconds. i been trying to work it out on my own but have had no luck.

 

kinda hard not to rant when you see a creator who your told is still actively working a mod, yet hasnt been on for 3 months and you need to ask for help and cant afford to donate.

I can definitely get behind you on most of what you said, oniki definitely needs to step up their game on here if they want to stay relevant on here.

 

I'm not sure but does disabling KW and then reenabling it reset the settings? on the patreon build you can import/export settings, but I know you dont have that yet. I would suggest if disabling and enabling doesnt do it, then start a new game and start up kw, write down the settings and set them the same on your normal save, since I think every new game uses the default settings.

 

You shouldn't expect a shit show on here, most people are cool, I think

normally i wouldnt expect that here, but being that this mod is so hugely popular, i'm more hesitant. 

with 2,000,000+ views, i'm pretty sure its safe to say that most are probably not site regulars. unless this site population is bigger than i'm aware of which is possible too lol.

 

some might take my post as trying to have the mod removed, i'd much rather see the mod get supported and updated and users paid attention to, not the opposite. it just seems now like this is just a hugely popular thread that is basically an ad for the patreon page with a free outdated demo.

 

Even if we just got occasional progress updates on the mod and ETA's to future releases once in awhile. so we dont have to ask is this still supported and be told by others yeah, go check the patreon page.  i'm sure there is many of us who shout this mod from the rooftops in our other adult sims 3 circles, i know i do.  I send them here and then they come to me with all their questions. i like being helpful, dont get me wrong. but its not my mod. its not fair i do so much for people i send here, yet the mod creator is nowhere to be found aside from on the payside. i'm starting to think i wont be doing that much anymore until i see some positive change here.

Nah, don't expect a shitstorm. I agree with you; the creator said that the mod would be updated every 2 months yet he/she has not done this. And there is no explanation as to why the mod was not updated and no communication, which only leads me to believe that the creator is trying to get people to pay for it. This happened before the last update; it took almost a year, and was only updated after people kicked up a massive fuss.

I'm having a little problem where my shemale will randomly decide to remove her bottom (exhibitionism), but for some reason it does not display her penis. Any other interactions like showing cock or taking baths work fine, however its just this one automatic remove bottom feature that doesn't quite work with cmar's alternate female nude bottom. I was wondering if there's any way to disable this animation entirely or fix it.

If you have testingcheatsenabled, then you can go to the relationship panel and click the bar to make it move up to the level of friendship you want.

Speaking as a ex game developer (EX developer, because I used to work on a mobile game that very much was the incantation of all that is evil within the mobile games industry, pay to win out the nose, + bad pay and long hours werent something I had the "balls" to deal with), developing anything, even a mod takes time, 2-3 months wait time is not a lot in my personal estimation, from what I've seen of this mod its incredibly high quality, in fact, this mod is the only reason I'm playing Sims 3 over Sims 4.

From what I've seen on the few posts that are open to the public on his patreon, the current state of the mod is quite buggy and is ruining saves, if Oniki was to release an unfinished buggy mess to LoversLab people would cry foul, and he would have to deal with complaints from people whom likely didnt bother to read up on the fact the current builds werent stable.

I personally think the mod is at a stage where he could release it and say "Thats it, I'm done", so the whole "He should release the builds that Patron gets here as well!" kinda smacks me as "We loved the free stuff, is there more free stuff? Oh there is? But its not ready yet and only people whom pay for the privilege of testing the unfinished product get to try it? Well! Thats not fair!".

If Oniki were smart, he'd label this version as "finished" and label the Patreon versions as DLC or expansions, that way he'd get around the rules of the site, and people would lose any right to complain.

But, I guess the fact that people are upset is a "good" thing, it shows they care very much about the mod.

In the end, I wish the new iterations of the mod would come out faster too, but complaining about not receiving more free stuff on top of the free stuff wont get anyone anywhere, its because of Patreon that Oniki can focus on the project entirely, hell. I'd donate to him myself, if he was a bit more clear on what on earth hes actually working on.. I have no idea if "build 3342" or what ever is actually the mod, or that RPG he mentions in his introduction.

it was never about people who deserve to ask help of the creator.. or about seeing a modder who cares to help its users. or anything about it being the right thing to do. i'm too selfish to ask any of that.

 

we dont need to know how the mod is coming along. your right, we should just shut the hell up and like it and appreciate this awesome piece of free stuff. cause thats what it's all about. i'm sorry... voicing opinion or criticism should never be ok.

 

your right, the current build for public release should be labeled as final, cause that would be the totally unselfish, right thing to do, unlike my posts.

This site does not allow advertising paid content. Period. Oniki could come out and say that this mod is now "donation only", but would not be allowed to use this site to promote his/her Patreon.

I'm trying to assign a few custom Sims to the teacher/principal/janitor roles, but they aren't showing up in the list of possible hires at the high school.

Any ideas for troubleshooting? It's just a little funny that I can hire the Grim Reaper but not the MILFy teacher with a decent skillset that I've patterned after Erica Campbell.

EDIT: Turns out it's just a bit finicky after they sign up for the education career.

Sorry, I'm new here so I don't really know how to reply to posts or whatever but I'm having the same problem as Hiei998:

 

There is no "animation" button to install the animations, and I think some of them are missing.

 

I'd suggest writing down or printing out a list of your animation filenames. more specifically the ones that start with KW. though i think with master's animations you might need to use the filename of the non kw package if i remember right.

 

click on your sim and select the kinky option... enable it, if you have it already enabled, go into the packages option. some may already be listed or may not. just do add animation or package or something like that, i forget what it says. then type in your filenames that start with KW minus the .package extension one at a time. so if you wanted to add the animation package called KW_Amra72_Animations.package, you would only put in KW_Amra72_Animations into the box and hit enter. as you add each pack it will then be added to the list of available animations.

Has anyone had the following happen to them?

 

My single mother Sim is a callgirl and I guess has a high enough Woohoo Level so that she can noq accept only high escort calls and not just all calls. However when I try to start the high escort call missions, nothing happens. No error message or prompt but nothing happens onscreen either. The customer never shows or calls back and my Sim just stands there. What other circumstances have to be met for this to work?

well as someone which now is studing and about to enter in the game development and based on some others projects like for exemple yandere simulator i can disagree with you in some points and say which things can go in other side aswell, what is matter is the person desire or what he want, again take as exemple yandere simulator the creator release at last 1 release of the game per month(many times he release more than one specially for fix) and what is funny??? he have patreon to help on his budget to the game and he don't use it give "exclusive patreons releases, all the releases of the game are free for all not just "patreons", if this not good then go nexus mod and see which basically most of the modders on nexus also have patreons but also don't use it make a "pay wall" and also release all they releases without a "patreon version".

 

about "bugs" if you make sure to explain which that are not "stable versions and beta or whatever you want to call then is not problem to be a public release" many peoples do that, using "bug" as a excuse to make a paywall is not right, you can go both sides with it, another thing don't forget here is not supported "payed only" and also to be honest if she do that even "EA" can go after her since mods are not allowed to gain money from it even if is patreon and they release "free version of it", while i don't mind they get some money which they deserve for they hard work, what can't happen is try to use it as opportunity to force peoples to pay if they want.

 

in the end for what i get from my teachers is which nothing really, specially today is 100% bug free and no matter how she try aways will gonna have bugs and keep using the "bug" as excuse to not make a public release is not the right thing since even the game is pretty bugged, what is matter is the modder personal desire, because for bug kill the more peoples playing/testing the best will be to fix the bugs cuz let's say she have 50 peoples on patreon and goes to a point where none of that 50 peoples are having bugs and when she release another public free version then everyone or a big majority of peoples which not where part of that 50 start to experience bug and crash because of the mod version, then that peoples will gonna have to wait like x months until a fix for they bugs because instead of try to release some fast bug fix she will be again holding until "another public release" which will again take a long time until happen again, which in some bugs cases can be fixed very fast but due to "release rules" peoples only gonna get they hands on that releases much later which is not fair when they could get it very fast.

my gripe wasnt just about a new version. its about the fact that there are alot of people here with problems and there is no support "here". so people that are paying get help while the rest dont or have to hope someone else is educated enough in the mod to help them. i'm not against "other" player help. i think its a good thing and benefits the progress of development. but some occasional help from the creator might be better. or maybe some of those problems that are brought up behind the paywall might be something someone here might have had the same problem with. but maybe cant see it, or dont know it can be seen there.

 

idk how patreon works so i dont know if support issues can be viewed by anyone or not. but i'm guessing that loverslab is / was considered the home of this mod. or maybe i'm wrong and if so myself and others would probably love to know where this mod does call home. where to go to get the support they / we need. i didnt make my posts to be an asshole, and i have no problem waiting for mod updates. my main issue is leaving people helpless and clueless as to whether the mod is still in development, where / how to get support, is it even supported? etc.

 

all it seems by appearance here is a bunch of die hard mod fans that decided to never leave a dead mods home thread and stick together to help each other. which after asking questions i found out it's not a dead mod, so i was just wondering why this thread isnt being paid attention to. i'm not an idiot, i'm sure working on a mod is hard work and takes time. but all i wanted to know, that others dont seem to ask but i'm sure they would like, and deserve to know is why does this side of the paywall see no attention at all? before i made my post i went clicking back to find Onikikay's last post to see what was the current status of the mod and i clicked back 30 pages and found not 1 post til i finally gave up without finding one. 30 pages with questions on something being wrong with someones game might i add. but it was nerve racking doing all that looking, which lead to me making my first post.

 

I was wanting to avoid making further posts on the subject. but just want to emphasize the point that seems to keep being overlooked or not worth mentioning. its more than just about the need for a new version no matter how much i agree or not that we do. no matter how anyone wants to twist it. I'm not saying Onikikay needs to be here all day, a few times a day or even every day. but pop in from time to time, atleast answer a question or 2. drop some news, even if its news that says sorry, i dont have much to tell right now, but i'm still working on it, thanks for your interest and patience.
