halieslade Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Hi all! Yesterday I took the bold (for me) step of replacing my older UNP body mesh with an updated 7Base model. I love the improvement in shape and the changes to my female animations, but when I went into "Showracemenu" to once again fiddle with my face, I ran into a major problem. 7Base apparently replaced my female idle animation (this is my theory, anyway, I can't think of another animation set I installed since then), which is ok but it's a bit sexy-fidgety compared to vanilla or even the base female idle. As a result, when I enter Showracemenu, my character starts out close up, facing me, and continues to animate, turning away and looking around like she has ADHD I tried some console commands to stop idles, but none worked. I tried one which was supposed to stop time, and it did stop her for a moment until I again entered Showracemenu. Then it was back to turning away from the camera. I tried sitting her in a chair, which works for a few seconds only before the idle animation cycles, and then I'm standing up again My last effort might be to replace the 7Base idle animation but I hate to mess with that. Right now, it makes ShowRaceMenu useless!
Groovtama Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 If you use RaceMenu3 + XPMSE2 go to the Poses category and set "Default Poses" to -1 or use player.sae from the console to switch to the static idle
halieslade Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 Thanks. I'm not sure what version of Racemenu I'm using (the list in NMM doesn't say). I downloaded Racemenu 3.0 "Alternative", will that work?
Groovtama Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 just redownload and install rm3 from the nexus
myuhinny Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 You could also go to where your players idle files are at and locate the one doing it and remove it from the folder then place it back afterwards. Awhile back I installed dragonfly TBBP it came with a rotating idle when not moving after awhile it got annoying and made looking at player hard everyone was doing it that were female so I went into the folder and located it by reading the names of the idles once I found it I threw it into the trash. Using a pose from a pose mod stopped it from activating as well.
Ky Kiske Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 A little tip I do when changing stuff in Racemenu because sometimes when playing with the slider and setting stuff to a certain value in some bars will make the idle work again and scre you up, First in your skyrim folder the one with tesv.exe and launcher, create a new text file, name it idle or whatever, open it and put this: player.sae idlestaticposeastart save and close, now everytime your character starts moving in racemenu just open the console and type bat idle or whatever name you put on the txt file.
halieslade Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 I'm not sure what the problem is now, but the Racemenu 3 - "Alternative" that I installed (and I met the requirements) locked up my PC. I deleted its files and reinstalled the Racemenu that was working before, but now Skyrim is CTD Ky Kiske, that's the simplest solution I think. As soon as I can fix my crash, I'll try that one. Thanks.
halieslade Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 Reloaded an old save, to get past possible game corruption, but now when I use the "player.sae idlestaticposeastart" console command, I don't know how to restart regular animations Forgive me. I'm pretty stupid when it comes to the 40 million console commands in Skyrim!
Ky Kiske Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 There is no need to input a command just jump and when you land your default idle animation should play.
halieslade Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 There is no need to input a command just jump and when you land your default idle animation should play. Well that was WAY too easy, thanks! By now, though, I'm convinced that I need to replace the animations that came with 7Base.
halieslade Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Problem possibly solved. I found this "Sexy Idle Animation", dropped it into my female animations folder and now I still have that girly arm-flapping run and the slinky snake-like sexy walk that came with 7Base, as well as a provocative but fairly-static stand that shouldn't interfere with RaceMenu. Where there's a will there's a file, right?
Ky Kiske Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Nice, if you still want to get rid of the other animations Don't know if you use a mod organizer or not but if you have this folder Data\Meshes\actors\character\animations\female you should see these files: mt_idle.hkx ---> standing animation ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// mt_runbackward.hkx mt_runbackwardleft.hkx mt_runbackwardright.hkx mt_runforward.hkx mt_runforwardleft.hkx mt_runforwardright.hkx mt_runleft.hkx mt_runright.hkx //////// Running animation ///////////// mt_sprintforward.hkx -------> sprint (forward+alt animation) and same as mt_runright.hkx, etc.. files there are the mt_walkright.hkx and rest files if you really don't like those animations try movig those files to your desktop or something and then see if you like the original animations better or replace those files with other animations if not put them back.

Thank you. Yes, I'm ok with the 7Base female replacement animations for now. I downloaded a couple of other "sexy" animation sets and even got the original vanilla off of 7Bases' download page on Nexus. So I have backups for the future! However, it appears that when I upgraded NMM the last time, it stopped adding new mods from the interface like before - opening a new file, "Add" then clicking again to enable the mod no longer works. I've had to manually install mods, or use the options at the bottom of the mod tab to do the downloading and installing. That in itself is not an insurmountable problem, but I was afraid of messing with the animations because I didn't want to impose unwanted behaviors or crashes on my build. Yesterday I finally threw up my hands and dug into the meshes\character folders until I found what I was looking for. A bit tedious but educational, but I still miss having NMM do my work for me.
