Missing texture advice needed

So, i'm rebuilding my skyrim and for some reason I'm missing some textures as below, which I was not missing on my previous setup. My anti virus software removed MO and reset it by 3 months when I restored it, so lost all profiles and savegames. So i'm clean installing it all again.

This cart is from JKs whiterun - but the same textures are missing on the starting cart ride, so I understand that it must be a base texture which is missing or disabled.

So I need advice on how to identify which one. I've had some experience of CK, but need help on how to go about looking into fixing this :)

You are obviously missing the textures that come with the mod that modifies the cart, and they are obviously not the default ones. The "stock" textures are in Textures.bsa and there is no way an antivirus could have deleted those. Unless it deleted the entire .bsa.

Have you tryied to re-install that mod?

Tried steam cache for the game... says that there were four missing files, none of them the textures i'm missing. Didn't have archive invalidation turned on, looks like I missed that step when I re-installed MO.

So - I've tried reinstalling the official updates and the city overhaul mods i've got plugged in no luck. I'm not running a mod which specifically changes the carts, so guessing it must be from an texture overhaul mod.

I have a profile from before I installed the ENB setup and the parts shown have textures, the profile after does not. now trying to compare which mods are new to see if I can nail it down.

Static Mesh Improvement Mod changes the cart, and uses a new texture for the parts that are purple on yours...

In Mod Organizer, on the right hand window go to the data tab and navigate to meshes\furniture\cart and look for cartfurnstatic01.nif MO will tell you what mod is responsible for it, or whether it's still in the Skyrim data folder (possibly left over from a pre MO install where SMIM was used).

The text that is there for both cart entries is red. Looks to be what I was after, a straightforward way to identify which mods confilct when you already know which item is displaying wrong. Thank you :)

Say SMIM and VIvid landscapes all in one are both providing these nifs. I'll lookt to re-install both and then look to resovle the conflict if not done by the re-install.

UPDATE - ok, that worked. Using the hide function in the conflicts menu in Mod organizer for the "Vivid Landscapes - All in One - Smim Farmhouse stuff" entries relating to the cart solved the issue.

Textures are back. Guess they must be referenced i the mod, but not included and thus causing the issue as that mod is installed after the other one and overwrites the textures with nothing.

Thanks for the advice all, much appreciated :)
