Animation Tutorial videos?

Word on the street is there are not a lot of animations on LL. So are there any links, videos, so informational sources to help LL's animation department grow. (Blender would be best because it's cheap).

I have been on LL for about one year now and I for one want to help out this neckbread community.

Obviously, one could type "skyrim" and "animations" followed by "tutorial" but as a representative for the autistics on this site I have the right to ask "how can a person, such is I, become an animator? For if tis was easy, then where art thou animators... M'lady?"

I only know of three animators on this site, so does anyone know how to make more.

Is making an animation that involves SL not a big deal or is their some secret hand shake?

You don't need to join the Esoteric Order of Dagon to learn how to animate (although it wouldn't hurt). If you've serious intent on learning, then you've already looked through this Blender resource in the tutorial section.

I'm not sure how your autism is involved in any of this.

From what I've read the last version of Max that can be used to make animations in Skyrim is 2012 and Autodesk doesn't offer it anymore.  Blender, unfortunately, is going to be their only option.

Thats correct.

The best way for animations with 3dsmax is still the 2010 version. Its the version bethesda used for theirs.

If i remember rightly even the 2012 3dsmax version is not optimal. I got many problems even with the knowledge of xp32. But it worked fine in 3dsmax2010.

Unfortunately i have never tried to make animations with blender.

I think the big problems for animations in skyrim are the following:

* first it was really hard to get informations

* also getting the right 3dsmax version (many people didnt know the student site)

* the tutorials only show you how to do simple stuff and bring it proper into skyrim. you still have to know how to make proper animations with these tools.

* additional there come many plugins and terminal tools

* even with the supposed settings there were many problems and nobody to ask

* last but not least - its really hard work, exspecially the fine tuning

But if you really want to make some, download a tutorial get started and if you come to problems, there are many good threads on nexus.

greetings
