Hello there~! I just download oblivion a little bit ago again and i was wondering if some one could possibly tell me how to achieve glossy effect like the ones in the SS in the url  i attached. I've tried Glossmax but i don't notice a difference.

Have to run glossmax on the body/head meshes you want glossed. Otherwise can manually open up the nif with nifskope and right click on material property and set the glossiness to 200 or something. Also textures can have a role in glossiness too.

Glossmax has a ini file you must open it and change the number in it to 1000 then save as to overwrite the ini file 1000 is the max setting for gloss. This is the setting I use for my player in the above link.

 

Heads *will not* work in glossmax those have to be manually done in nifskope by loading up the head mesh into it click the little arrow left of line with skin and the little corsant looking thing and changing the glossiness float from whatever it is to 1000.0000 then save as to overwrite the nif.

 

Some bodies don't show the glossy look as well as others the race I am using in the above link is the EVY race mod found here on LL another race that glosses well is the diablo race.

 

If you are using a mod like set body you have to drag the nifs from each folder into glossmax to gloss them or just try to gloss the body in the one that you are using.

As Sroro and Muyhinny said you just need to use Gloss Max, but you also need a an "oily" normal map. You can use the ones from Diablo Elf with any other race that uses the ren head mesh. 

 

As for tweaking lots of files the best option is to open the file explorer, seach for .nif and drag it all to glossmax. That way you avoid going through every single folder, and instead just have to open just a few (armor, clothes, characters..)
