gwyllgi Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 so im adding mods downloaded from LL in nmm. the only problem is when i add them they seem to be completely different mods. for instance sexlab approach seems to be something called simple borderless window and attraction is Hectrol Quickly Wallpaper -1680x1050- -March 1-... so sad.
badbat111 Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 dont use nmm do it manually so you know you get the mods chances are nmm might have put a block on porn mods i dont know i dont use it

Kuロi Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I have a feeling that whatever way you're adding the mods to NMM, NMM is assigning a Nexus ID to them and it's messing up their name. Have you tired clearing that info by opening the info tab or whatever it's called (you know, that big "i" with a "+").

This sounds right to me as i've had mods that aren't from the NMM site get confused when added (sexlab approach kept turning into skyrim borderless window) Once the mod is added you can rename it as well to make maintence easier.
Alpia Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 NMM uses the name of the .rar file as file name obviously maybe this changes if you are logged into the nexus network I never log into that with NMM also never seen such an issue. So I say try using the NMM without beeing logged into the network. Another thing are you adding the mods with the + button or are you adding them via URL I allways download them and then add them via the + button. I never had a single headache with NMM or my skyrim there is no problem that cant be solved if you have a common sense, but I know there are some users that are not able to think about easy things like: "what am I overwriting here" "does this make sense" so for such people indeed MO makes sense or if you switch your active plugins every day for whatever reason. If you just have a few mods or want to start over with your skyrim anyway MO is great, but if you have lots of mods and a working game there is just no benefit from switching. If you don't agree with me OK these are just my two cents.
azmodan22 Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I have NMM (although an old version - 0.45.6) and I dont have this issue. However it has been a looooong time since that version could connect to the nexus. I download all mods and install them manually in NMM. Back when it could log in the nexus I did have the problem that when NMM was connected, Even if i clicked "download with manager" in the nexus, the mod installed did not nessesarily had the name it should. So your best way to solve it. Dont let that crap connect to the nexus. Yes it is working but it still is kinda crappy. The only reason I am using it is because I want my mods to actually be in the data folder so I can edit their files easily if I want to. (and because it sends a faulty list to MO so I can't switch :-P )
nutluck Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Just make sure you have NMM offline when you upload sexlab mods and it works fine.
