Questions to help me choose a body type

I only have experience with CBBE, and it was great; the bodyslide function allowed me to customize it to my liking, and the armor replacers for it ranged from vanilla to skimpy. This is what I'm looking for in a nutshell, but I want my next character to use The Ningheim Race, which comes with its own body.

A CBBE option is available, but how much would I be able to customize it? I'd like to be able to adjust the shape of the body, as well as add HDT, but I'm worried that this might cause issues with the rest of the body. Is the inclusion of the body just for convenience, or is it an essential part of the race's look?

As long as the custom race does not do either of the following:

- Custom Neck Seams (Meaning they have a new custom head)

- Custom Hand Seams (Very unlikely)

- Custom Feet Seams (Even more unlikely)

- Custom Skinning for it's own custom skeleton (Next to nobody does this)

Then the body is replaceable by whatever you wish.

I highly doubt ningheim has any of the above.

Yeah, like blabba said, just make sure you look at how the mod is packaged to check for textures and meshes, then just copy and paste your femalebody_0 and ""_1 and all your custom textures if it uses its own. Unless... you want those textures, then make sure you download the cbbe version if you're still using bodyslide. :)

Thank you friend.

Don't forget the skeleton files.

Ningheim are perfect for modding, their face morphs look great with pretty much every texture.

There are of course other ways to create a beautiful character as well. You could check Ethereal Elven Overhaul or All in One Faces. Or you could do better and go for Blabla's Citrus Heads. Advantage of the last option is that you could use it with any body kind you like, grab yourself "Bodyslide" and start the hunt for a preset of your choice.

In my humble opinion, it is more satisfactory to create a beautiful character from scratch than changing an existing look more to your liking. Just an idea, of course.
