Ever-Crashing Skyrim

Okay, this is entirely frustrating.  Last night, after FINALLY getting my Smithing up high enough to make Dragonbone weapons for my followers, and Dragonplate armor for Lydia, my game crashed as soon as I left Breezehome.  No save would reliably load, crashing to desktop after the loading screen.  Before this, I was experiencing more common crashes when attempting to quicktravel, sometimes even just wait.  I cleaned the save, removing a whopping SEVEN orphaned scripts (now pay, I say pay attention son, that's sarcasm!) and it STILL wouldn't load.  So I deleted all the saves and started off fresh, since that was apparently the only thing I could do at that point.  Rolled up my character, went to the Bannered Mare and bought all the Breezehome Upgrades from Breezehome:  Fully Upgradable (same thing I do first EVERY time on EVERY Skyrim character I make since I found that amazing mod), selected Riverwood on my map to run there to pick up some other stuff. . . boom, crash to desktop.  Again, I cannot get saves to load.  I've stripped out a TON of mods from the previous game to this one, ones that I'm not using since I'm playing a male character for the first time since I downloaded Skyrim for the PC (and found all the, shall we say, interesting mods here.)  So I'm fairly certain it's NOT any kind of mod conflict.  What the hell is going on, and how do I proceed to the making it right?

I to get CTDs when loading saves. But noticed that if I load the save right after I restarted the computer it loads fine. See if that works for you.

Now I don't know if it's a coincidence but I always seem to get the saves to load after I run ccleaner even when it doesn't seem to find any files to clean so why don't you try that too.

A) I use LOOT.  Through Mod Organizer.

B ) Haven't gotten into cleaning masters, but since this is the first time I've had this problem this bad, I don't think it's inherent to any of the mods I've been using.  A lot of mods also advise you not to clean them, since some of the "dirty edits" are necessary for them to function (Skyrim being the temperamental bitch she is.)

C) Took a look at STEP, can't seem to find anything that specifically addresses my issue.

D) Shut down my computer last night for an update install, launched Skyrim through MO first thing this morning, still crashed.  That's when I posted here, after fighting with being unable to load ANY save reliably for an hour and a half last night.

I managed to get an earlier save to load, loaded the save I wanted, and still crashed as soon as I tried to go anywhere through a loading screen.  And a completely new game has the same crashing issues.  Something is seriously wrong somewhere in my Skyrim, but I have no idea where to start looking.

EDIT:  Ccleaner did nothing.

One thing I'm noticing in Mod Organizer is a lot of stuff in the "Data" tab for mods I'm no longer using.  Is there a way to clean that out, and should I do it?

Do you have a lot of HIRes textures that could choke your card? Do you have the ini memory tweak for SKSE? If all else fails I would delete everything and reinstall the game at this point.

EDIT yeah skyrim still reads the esp files in the data folder even if they are not in the load order so if there are a lot of them there it could cause problems

A papyrus log and load order may help to get you some specific advice about your problem. According to your original post the only thing that has changed in your game is that you leveled blacksmithing to 100. Now suddenly you're getting nailed with CTDs. Is that correct? Did you recently install any mod affecting perks? The advice about loading an earlier clean save and then loading the save you want to play works almost always and is almost SOP in fact.

I did load an earlier save, then the one I wanted.  Still crashed.

My Blacksmithing had been 100 a little before that, this was just the first opportunity I had to go home and make use of it.  My game had been crashing more and more often all afternoon, and finally just completely bogged down late last night.  Still won't run at all today.  No mods that affect Perks, other than Heart of Thunder, which doesn't show up in the Perk tree.

See what happens if you disable all of SOS content. It fucked a lot of things for me so I went with the light version.

Still nothing.  I've been using SOS for quite some time with no issues.  Granted, never on a male PC, but I've had Schlongified NPCs and given my female PC equippable and UNP Schlongs on a CBBE body, and never had an issue.

I think you need to learn T5E and start solving conflicts by hand, I use this method and cant even remember when was the last time I got a CTD

I'm not opposed to that, but where do I start?  What are the conflicts that need fixing?  Where do I find out what's causing this and then how to fix it?

Uninstalled Skyrim and deleted everything.  Redownloaded, now getting my mods back in order. . .

On the plus side, reinstalling MO is allowing it to connect to the Nexus again.

Well, after spending most of the afternoon uninstalling and reinstalling Skyrim and getting my mods back the way I probably had them before, things SEEM to be going well so far.

Thanks!  Still wish I knew what was causing it in the first place, though I think it was MO storing data from a bunch (and I mean, a BUNCH) of mods I don't use anymore.
