onetime_187 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Hello all, noticing when I downloading a new companion/follower they never quite look like what they do on loverslab/nexus/etc. Does anyone have a solution to this? Here is a list of all he beautification mods I have and their load order. apachiiHairFemales.esm apachhiihair.esm facelight.esp BBLSapachiil_light.esp Feminine Females.esp UFO-Ultimate Follower Overhaul TheEyesOfBeauty.esp SGEyebrows.esp KSHairdo's.esp I also have 'pretty girls by drow' and 'female facial animation' which do not show up on the list of plugins for some reason. Am I possibly missing a mod that could help me, or possibly is one mod conflicting with another one and I should change the load order? Thanks for the help!
gvman3670 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 ENBs or textures would be my guess, although standalone followers tend to have their own texture sets (which I often change anyway ).
Sailing Rebel Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Modders will often use ludicrously high resolutions and graphics settings to take beauty shots of their work - not the kind of thing that would make a playable game unless it's on some kind of monster rig. Check the mod descriptions carefully, they will usually list additional resources used in screenshots. Pay particular attention to body mods and body textures as these will have the greatest impact. As mentioned above, if you are looking to improve overall appearance and are not using an ENB then that would be the place to start.
onetime_187 Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 Thanks for the replies, I understand the resolution and enbs thing, I always download everything they claim they use in the details (other than enbs). It just seems like the characters mouth or face structure is askew and I can't figure out why.
GrimReaper Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Certain angles and poses make it also easier to capture a good shot of a character's face. That + ENB presets can make a big difference on how things look in your game. Also the lighting in some areas is better than in others etc.
