beck11 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 So after an Evolve steam price error and 4 tf2 keys later Im back into LL modding with Skyrim. Having sworn off it all after how tedious it became the last time Im sure Im gonna regret it again come december but whats done is done, no use crying about it now ;_; What I want to know is what are the key mods I need to get going in Skyrim? Does not seem like there are many tutorials for Skyrim that encompass the whole of LL modding, just individual stuff so any help would be appreciated cause I have absolutely not kept up with modding in Skyrim at all. Stuff I need: An NPC beautification mod - Prefer somehitng more natural and less anime like Xeo if possible. Most popular/supported base nude body mod - I wasnt kidding when I said I have not kept up with Skyrim modding. Mod installing tool - Is the Nexus MM good enough now? And anything else that is core to the LL experience for Skyrim would be helpful. Sorry if this comes off as all too needy but I dont even have time to get back right away into modding and I will have to slowly download everything over the next few days so having a list of mods to get would help greatly. Im not sure if this belongs in the technical support forum but mods please move it there if you think its right, apologies in advance. If you think there is anything else that might help me then please let me know. Thank you.
fizzybutt Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I'll give you the same link I gave someone else asking for something similar to what you're asking. No idea how long you've been gone, so here goes. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19588-sexlab-index/ It's gonna help you out so much more mod wise than anything else out there in getting up to date on changes since you've been gone. As for my preferences? UNP body variant (a weighted unpcm by halo (the guy who does pinup poser) is my current favorite) Fair skin complexion HDTPE (havok physics, the next step up from TBBP) XPMSE skeleton There's npc overhauls on Nexus that uses things like Apachii hairs and KS hairs (interesting npc's is pretty good too) Also http://erkeilmods.altervista.org/skyrim/skyrim-npc-overhaul/ And then my own preferences for sexlab (which range depending on the mood I'm in; from devious to sweet and romantic) Mod organizer has a bit of a learning curve but is superior when controlling your mods, it installs mods virtually so you have an untouched install of skyrim. It also shows you what would overwrite what if you did manually/nmm install it and you can control the overwrite order by just dragging and dropping. I haven't had skyrim implode on me requiring a new install since I switched :3 As for keeping up with mods? My bf is sitting right next to me bitching about how he hasn't kept up with it the last two months because he got caught up in mech warrior for a bit, lol. ALL his stuff needed major updates. So don't worry about it. It's like riding a bike (that's constantly morphing into a vicious tiger)
l33tMan Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Regarding the body replacers: UNP and its variants have the most widespread support, and the most popular UNP modification is UNPB which has a very important feature for SexLabbers - b3lisaro's UNPB pregnant body, which has a scalable belly node to support visual pregnancy with mods like Beeing Female, Estrus Chaurus +, Hentai Pregnancy (I prefer BF, but it might be an immersion overkill for some) The second most widespread family of body replacers is CBBE, which has the neat Bodyslide 2 thingy, which lets you make your own compatibility patches for outfits on your custom body shapes. Other body mods include Dream Girl (support is limited), SevenBase (support is good, but I hate the japanese-perspective humongous weight 100 jugs), LadyBody, project C.I.T.R.U.S. (still in beta, but it will have everything including an animatable vagina), UNP HDT project (adding stuff like a 3D HDT-enabled vagina to the UNP body), UN7B (merger of UNP and SevenB jugs) and many other. Regarding mod managers: I do stuff (painstakingly) by hand, but people like to use Mod Organiser, which I don't use because to benefit from its virtual install feature I'd have to start over, and I'm proficient at organising stuff correctly anyway. Other than MO, there' also WBash, never used it, but from what I've gathered you get bashed patches assuring no missing files or bugs in exchange for the tool being ridiculously complex to use. To improve married life in Skyrim, I run BF and Spouses Enhanced. To improve post-combat realism, you might want to check out Death Alternative, Sannguine's Debauchery +, SexLab Defeat (Submit is inferior). To exceedingly imrpove realism, run Realistic Needs and Diseases, but that's overkill for me. If you want to have a good erotic experience when getting raped (SL Defeat), or banging your spouse (Spouses Enhanced or SL Romance), install Apropos, a system that plays a slideshow of erotic descriptions when in a sex scene. To make NPCs beautiful, get Better Females, Better Males and Ethereal Elven Overhaul.
gvman3670 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 For NPC beautification I use these two... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37861/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13746/? ...since they cover basically all the females in the game. I let SBF overwrite the followers in the other one, but LOOT sorts it that way automatically for me. I would suggest just going right to Mod Organizer this time. Learn it and take advantage of it's wide array of functions. I can start a new game and character and have that new profile up and running in mere minutes. Having those profiles means you always have a safe way to test new mods, too. UNP HDT and UNPB BBP are the best supported (since those two can use the other's armors and clothing). There are so many armor sets, mashup sets and so on for them I couldn't list them all here if I spent a couple hours linking them! And the best skin textures seem to be available for the UNP family as well.
beck11 Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 Im gonna try and get a base body mod setup first then we can take it from there. DIMONIZED UNP female body http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6709/? Mature skin texture http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32986/? XP32 Maximum Skeleton http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26800/? Better Females http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2812/? Ethereal Elven Overhaul http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24273/? Skyrim NPC overhaul Cant find the HDTPE mod. Once I get the PC/NPC mods sorted I'll move onto adding some gameplay mods then finally the LL stuff. So if I remeber how it worked before, my install order should be: 1. DIMONIZED UNP female body 2. Skyrim NPC overhaul 3. Better Females 4. Ethereal Elven Overhaul 5. Mature skin texture 6. XP32 Maximum Skeleton Does this look right?
gvman3670 Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 If you want HDT with the Dimonized UNP body then you'll need this UNP HDT/TBBP mesh to overwrite the D UNP. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21199/? I use this myself. It's a great choice for a lot of reasons. The best textures, the most clothing and armor support and it's a highly poly (higher quality) mesh than the CBBE variants. The downside is that there isn't a ton of clothing stuff HDT/TBBP weighted for the base UNP body shape. But you can also use TBBP/BBP/HDT stuff for the UNPB body (but the boobs will grow a bit when you put the chest/torso parts on). And between the two there is more available than for nearly everything else put together. A search for "UNP" on the Nexus will get you a ton of hits of stuff to choose from. I'd suggest "Hmmm..What to Wear" and the Brokefoot mashups for sure and a UNP/B armor replacer. "A Little Sexy Replacer" is another mod to give some clothing options as is "Minidresses". Better Females is a waste of time. You don't need this at all. Your PC and NPCs will all look better just relying on the texture pack you pick. BF looks pretty bad. You'll also need Enhanced Character Edit or Race Menu for character creation (so this means SKSE and SkyUI for sure as well). With these you can tweak the makeup better than BF will give you.
fizzybutt Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 The most up to date skeleton and all the info's on it (you need realistic ragdolls with this) http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25971-xp32-maximum-skeleton-extended/ HDTPE link from Monsto http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25488-hdt-physics-extension-v1428-latest/ Info and helps on HDTPE http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25501-hdt-news-and-info-latest-v1428-stable-10-24/ Links for the JFF tool and tutorials so you don't get brain matter everywhere when you try opening up that xml in notepad http://www.loverslab.com/topic/30170-step-by-step-guide-how-to-customize-bounce-kits/ A Picture tutorial to inject HDT into your nif (Use femalehead.nif for collisions not the body) So you don't have to have a havok object http://www.loverslab.com/topic/10270-conversions-for-manga-body/page-77?do=findComment&comment=566933 UNP HDT Body update http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21199/? Update of the unp blessed (unpb) For some reason it was renamed and relisted on nexus long ago so when you searched unpb it came up empty O.o http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37900/? B3lisario's UNPB BBP Pregnant Body download is in here, lots of people use it for belly distortions. (which require an hdtm.xml file and injection into malehands nifs to work) http://www.loverslab.com/files/download/149-estrus-chaurus/ Hopefully these links will help you out on the physics part a little bit.

beck11 Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 The UNPB body keep ctd-ing my game when I remove armor. What is the correct method to installing with FNIS, HDT PE and XPS skelly with MO? Christ......Skyrim modding seems so needlessly complicated. Time to break out the "I have no idea what Im doing" jpeg.
fizzybutt Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Are you sure you've got the meshes installed correctly? Also, I don't remember if they have a skeleton inside that mod. Check info (right click mod >information>conflicts) and see what it's overriding. Then, move unpb (the whole mod) over (click and drag) the mod it's conflicting with. HDTPE doesn't matter where you put it because it doesn't conflict with anything else. I have FNIS Ragdolls Body (and all it's crap) XPMSE skeleton 2.14 HDTPE Also, if you're using a custom race (ningheim or ashen or succubus or yougethteidea) You need to make sure you replace the skeleton and body mesh as well. It's as easy as creating a folder in mod organizers mods folder (With the correct pathway) and then refreshing your left window in MO, and checking it on. (It'll always be at the bottom of the priority)
