Storms of Superior Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 So I finally installed Nifskope and Blender. When I finished installing Blender, I was notified that I would need to install Python 2.6 in order to use Blender. Does the latest version of Python have support for Blender, or do I need to find a legacy version? Nevermind. I just downloaded the legacy 2.6.2 for now.
gregathit Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Or just use the all in one, no install needed version of blender: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42755/?
Storms of Superior Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 OK I'm switching to that version. Does it contain its own tutorial on importation of .nif files?
gregathit Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 No. There is no tutorial. The process and settings vary per game.
Storms of Superior Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 OK well I found something I missed last night when trying to import stuff. It appears that I succeeded in importing an armor piece, but I won't know for sure until I can remember how to render it. Thanks.
gregathit Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 There are tutorials in the tutorial section here and many that you can find via google and youtube.
Storms of Superior Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 NOt tonight. My head is pounding again, and I can't muster the concentration to try the tutorials again. Thanks again for the help.
gerra6 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Or just use the all in one, no install needed version of blender: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42755/? Bonus...that package includes most of my Blender scripts pre-installed. Seam Mender, in particular, is very handy.
