Niggabanana Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Well, this one bugs me for quite sometime now, Every custom follower (In my case) always had that ugly bronze shine since i got the mod that removes bronze shine to almost any NPC in Skyrim but not those with Custom face-replacers, A method that i don't know if it works is manually installing the Bronze remover to the replacer folders. But result is still the same. Anyone have a method for removing those ugly bronze shine to Custom follower / face-replacers?

I have that installed, the problem is with face-replacers, even with that installed the replacers still have bronze shine. Or maybe i've mis-red a bit in the mod description
D_ManXX2 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 check these 2 files: female*_1_sk.dds’ or ‘male*_1_sk.dds they are the cause of the bronze face when lightning are concern. either delete them or replace it with bronze fix. maybe when you added the other textures they overwritten the these files again.

Or maybe i've mis-red a bit in the mod description now I'm confused, is this mod children easy to install! open data \ textures \ character \ female and male \ thither you copy body, hands, face _1_sk.dds. This you can do with any companion mod, if he has his own texture file.

I already said that it does not work with all companion mods. in the texture folder of the companion mods that need "_1_sk.dds." contain files, then you need this only to override. if these files are not included, then it is pointless to add this, because the ESP detects this "_1_sk.dds." do not. edit: I also use this mod, it could also be caused by a gloss effect. Dubhorizon Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Ugly bronze shine was a problem with Vanilla lighting and with ENB's that use old dlls. I suggest you to remove any ugly bronze shine fix mod you have, because they remove some very important lighting effects on bodies and to use ENB's that use the newest binaries. On top of that, the author of Eyebrow Specularity Fix (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49168/?) has, on the bottom of the mod's description page, the best settings for skintone (subsurface scattering) for any enb.
