How do I find old threads? Ones started by me?

I'm having an issue I had a long time ago, which I made a thread for, which I solved, only I can't remember what the solution was, and I can't find the thread.

When I go to my posts and my started threads from my profile it only shows things I've posted in the past few months. Rather than the past few years.

I'm hesitant to just outright ask the same question I did before, if I can avoid it, which I would like to.

I'm not all too familiar with the topic part if it's like reputation where it shows holds everything you've done, or like posts that only show the latest. If it's like posts then, yes, I can see how that sucks.

Do you remember what the topic was about? I'm assuming it was for Oblivion?

Google is so much your friend.. Google Fu is what you need...

lol..

To answer the question the records seem to be held in your profile for one year. Then they are removed. The records are still here on the site but you have to read back through pages and pages of post. now in time they get locked and archived which might limit the availability of finding a post.

Post if you cannot find the answer in Google or the first or second page or so in the threads where it is relevant.

thanks those are what I needed... the funny thing is I did try google searches, I couldn't find any of that. I must have been using the wrong key words...

edit, and it turns out the answer I was looking for was one you also gave me, so thanks twice. Now to check and see if I arranged the file paths correctly... I am getting better at this.
