Farinata of Oblivion Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 After re-installing a clean copy of elder scrolls 4 the third time in a 4 hour period, I realized I'm quite out of my deapth. I'm trying to get this, http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/34762 to work with the various "lovers" mods, and on obmm, which I have, and have used for other non kinky mods, basically I got lovers to work but everyone was in their underwear, and non of the set body type spells ever appeared, I tried both obmm installs and manual, same result, and of course I downloaded all the required mods including the skeletons. pluggy and obse. Does anyone by chance have an obmm ready version of that mod, or simply one that doesn't confuse the hell out of me? Any help that can be offered on this will be appreciated, and I apologize in advance for the noobish quality of this post, I couldn't think of a better way to ask. I started over again with a clean install, all I have downloaded so far are the unofficial patches, for oblivion, isles, and knights, (I don't have any of the other plugins.)I normally play with vampires revamped, dz simplified leveling, a quest item leveler mod, and fixes for kvatch and bruma mg, beyond that everything is just extra, (with the exception of mods that make characters look better and enable sexytime, I find that a rather enjoyable addition to my oblivion experience) As far as I can tell I have no problems with lovers beyond the underwear thing, and using another body mod that was fixed, unfortunately that one was limited to one body type only and non of the characters had eyes. Not ideal... as it happens in one of my tests I got raped by a spider daedra, which I found quite hilarious, kudoes to whoever thought that up.
gregathit Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 The problem is you didn't fully read the description: "Required: Your choice body texture replacer for both gender." You will need to go and download a texture replacer as that particular setbody mod does not come with one. That is the reason you see the underwear as it is the default texture. This link is an example of what you will need: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/20022/ for females. For males I recommend grabbing a version of robert's male body and just moving the textures folder to oblivion\data\
Farinata of Oblivion Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 no actually I did download that. I added this version 2048x2048_Full_package_v1_2-20022 before BBB_Designer_Body_Spell-34762 I suppose it would be easier if I just tried it all again and screen capped my obmm, which should take me about 2 hours, my computer is old but its still pretty good and I've gotten used to its quirks, (most of them anyway)
gregathit Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Well you didn't mention it so that is why I pointed it out. Did you archive invalidate via bsa redirection? That likely is the reason that your are still getting the default textures. Also double check that you installed the textures correctly. If they are not in the correct spot then the mesh won't be able to find them and will default to the vanilla textures. Optionally you could install the body mod that was made specifically for lovers: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/39966 Holler if you still have problems or don't understand something I have said. Cheers, Greg

Cheers' date=' Greg [/quote'] I ran all the invalidation and bsa programs in the utility section of obmm, I did that because I am not entirely clear on that part of the modding process so I ran everything in the hope of leaving nothing out. I'm in the process of making a second attempt. I'll post my findings.
gregathit Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Just to bone up your knowledge of the types of archive invalidation and which you should and should not use: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ#Archive_Invalidation
Farinata of Oblivion Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 Just to bone up your knowledge of the types of archive invalidation and which you should and should not use: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ#Archive_Invalidation Thanks I'm glad I read that before applying those changes, it seems the best options are bsa redirection or alteration. I'll probably stick with the former since it seems to require the least. I've got all the add ons that were mentioned in the requirements sections of the mods I'm using of course. its also possible the high rez mod was corrupted so I'm downloading a fresh copy. ok, having downloaded it I'm not entirely sure how to make an omod with it, it has an installer but that didn't work as it claimed "config" was missing. So I'm going to try the "add archive" function in the create omod dialog box. That usually works... but the readme file was a tad too convoluted for me... well that didn't work, ok plan b, I'll try the add file function.
