Total Noob Question: What are the basics?

I've looked over the the Getting Started page and that all makes sense.

 

Now, what mods and combinations of mods do I need to get to the actual sex?

 

There are a LOT of mods that do esoteric things like make women give birth to soul gems... but it's hard to find a good list of mods that are all of the following:

 

- Working

- Up-to-date

- Compatable with a variety of further add-ons

- Arousing (ok, that's a broad term, but really, just nothing extremely objectionable like gore or loli please)

- Not dependant on mods which don't fit these qualifications.

 

So what's a good mod pack, and are there any installers that will start with a clean Skyrim install and produce a dirty, dirty install?

This isn't really a tech support question, and would be more suited in the SexLab general area. But any ways.....

 

 

The basics are pretty simple. You need a body of course. UNP/UNPB, CBBE, SeveNBase, etc for your females. SoS for your males (or Better Males, though SoS has more support). Then of course whatever texture mods you want for your bodies like SG Female Textures, Fair Skin, Mature Skin, or even the defaults that come with it if you want.

Then just read the requirements. It tells you right there what all you need for everything. But to make it simple, you need the above that I mentioned and FNIS and SkyUI. Don't forget to download the Creature Pack on the FNIS page in optionals if you want beastiality and stuff like that.

 

 

Now it's off to SexLab. Obviously you need the Framework, which is the main thing. Otherwise nothing works without it. If you want just the basics to have sex, pick up Matchmaker and Romance. Matchmaker gives you two spells. One that puts a buff on you, and one that puts a buff on your target. Cast them on yourself and target, and then wait for the sex to begin. Romance allows you to start sex via dialogue. Simple as that.

 

Those are the bare bone basics. If you want to go a bit further, but still keep it rather basic, pickup Lover's Comfort and Defeat. Lover Comfort let's NPCs have sex, basically, though it does more too. It requires Arousal, so make sure you grab that as well. Defeat is the combat rape mod. This is the one that if your health/stamina get too low, you can be raped in combat. It also has a bunch of other features too, so be sure to read about that.

 

But those are the bare minimums to have the basics of SexLab. If you are interested in beastiality, make sure to pick up More Nasty Critters. This gives all the animals and creatures the proper equipment to please you. In turn with that, you can pick up The Animal Mansion, which gives you a roleplay experience with beastiality and makes use of More Nasty Critters.

 

If you're into Bondage, check out Devious Devices. There is a huge assortment of stuff for that, so I won't go into it all (as well, I'm not 100% familiar with it). But check it out if that is your thing.

 

Then of course you got your slavery and pregnancy stuff as well, which isn't my cup of tea, but if you're interested, go check out those too. Can't really help you on those as I have no knowledge of them.
