Does exist a method to download Steam Mods not Via-Steam?

My worst fears are coming true. Many decent Mods are only available on Steam. Is there a system or a site to download them anyway.

Obviously if this thread is too explicit, close it.

I know what he means. I'd like to be able to 'back up' the Spacecore mod, but afaik it is only on the workshop and auto downloads.

I'd like to know this too, i don't use steam and there's no way in hell i'm installing it just to get some mods.

Also the workshop has an awful layout, no FOTM/top 100, no adult/non-adult split. Guess i've been taking the nexus for granted, also like 90% of the mods on the workshop are not on the nexus.

To make matter worst, if the one placed in his credits not to upload it anywhere else then workshop you guys will miss allot when not using steam.

Looks like some modders still uploads there stuff on nexus. but others refuce to give rights to upload anywhere else. This will be a problems for some mods.

Good thing Hentai(modder) refuses to use steamworkshop! I like the workshop but there is simply nothing wrong with whats already been established for the past years, why make another way of downloading these mods anyway?

Sigh, I already had enough mod sites to check daily, I'm never going to catch up with this many sites...

And I don't like the automation, it's good for end user and consumer situations but as a DIYer I don't want my Skyrim folder touched without any warning. I'm beyond automatic coffee machines and want to control what happens.

Once the people are happily selling their mod stuff for peanuts or glass beads they'll make the bucks, yup. Some call it treasure, others call it junk...

I had a quick browse today, based on this thread.

I have to say, I didn't find anything there to particularly rock my world. The interface is a little awkward, and the mods that caught my eye were all ones I'd already seen on Nexus.

Unless there's anything earth shattering that appears only on Steam, I think I'm going to stick to Nexus. For all its flaws, it's still an excellent database and search site.

Yeah i like to install mods manually, no mod manager and no steam shit, i particularly don't like how they auto-update, that's one of the worst features of steam anyway (thanks for making it so no one who has steam can play amk1.4 for stalker valve you bastards) and with mods it has the potential to completely break your game.

Well, it has already begun.

Two of the interesting mods reviewed by MMOxReview in

on YouTube are reuploads by request from Steam to the Nexus...

Apparently the steam modders are still afraid of their own courage, their own Nexus past and are thus easily persuaded to offer a reupload.

That won't last, folks.

if u login to steam, subscribe to a few mods.then close steam, use the skyrim launcher, it will download the mods. they will all packaged in one bsa file per mod. close skyrim launcher after update, open nmm or w/e mod manager u use, and they are there in the load mod order. close that and go to explorer, and look in skyrim/data and find the individual plugin bsa containing the whole kit and caboodle in one lump plugin. if you like, you can extract the bsa into the whole tex/mesh and whatever esp or esm is there. except for the little more work involved in opening bsa to actually view said textures or whatever game elements,i dont think it should really pose any problems to share .bsa files at least in my limited experience.

but so far, every mod i subscribed to on steam, showed up later somewhere else (or there is already a variant on the Xsus or here on wonderful LL.

Did i mention how much i love this place?

*edit to resemble coherent thought.

I would strongly advise you to never mention that you are using pirated software. Ban hammers are swift, and give no notice.
