Jormungandr Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Google didn't throw anything useful at me and the importer at the nexus only goes up to the 2012 version. Anything on that or do i have to get back to 2012?
CeeTeeDee Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 3d studio max NifTools plugin is not being actively developed by the Niftools team. As verified by the lack of active developers for 3d studio as listed here: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/Developers may be at some point the indie devs who took up the project will upload an update to nexusmods.com
blabba Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Only up to 2014 man. The SDK changed with 2015 and requires plugins to be compiled in VC 11 with unicode support. And considering that we barely have a fully functional wroking 2014 nif plugin for 2014, it's not going to be easy to port the 2012 code to 2015.

Thanks for clarifying.
darkconsole Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 i've never been able to get the nifs to even export right from 3ds anyway - i have always had to open the resulting file in nifskope to fix a few fields, some offset and, an emmissive colour which max always sets to hot pink, and then a value that is like CLAMP_T_CLAMP_SOMETHING T to WRAP_T_WRAP_T
