clown369 Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Hello guys i need help to install 7base body http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36992/? on my Ningheim race character. 7base body is working on all vanilla race except ningheim , can someone please guide me how to manually install 7base on ningheim race? Thank you
yatol Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 you just have to copy paste female_0.nif, femaleands_0.nif and the rest in the ningheim folder with these files
CharzardBlazin Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Yeah like yatol said... because Ningheim race has it's own resources(standalone)
clown369 Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 thank you for the reply guys , i will try it now
dryuya Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Be sure when you do to instal (w/ NMM or MO or whatever you use) to install with UNP textures
sashalag Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Remember that the ningheim body is in Data/meshes/actors/character/ningheim/female/body. Just replace the ones there with the 7base meshes (femalebody_0, femalebody_1, hands and feets (both 0 and 1), as suggested.
chajapa Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 If you copy/paste the meshes from your vanilla folder, the Ningheim Race will use the vanilla textures. If you want them to use Ningheim textures, you have to edit the meshes to point them to the correct texture location.
Occultdrake Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 i use the 7b body and the Ningheim race together all i did was use nmm to install the race using the unp parts and then overwrote the meshes with those of the 7b body, and as far as textures i' am actually using the default Ningheim textures for all my custom races as well as the vanillia ones and i have no issues except a bit of color mismatch on the darker skin tones and the darks elves in general (running the ethereal elven overhaul for the elves btw)
dryuya Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 This in fact is one thing that makes me not like MO as much. Dragging and dropping meshes/textures into custom races becomes a more convoluted process without a true data drive to do it in
chajapa Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 This in fact is one thing that makes me not like MO as much. Dragging and dropping meshes/textures into custom races becomes a more convoluted process without a true data drive to do it in I agree and disagree. I have a few custom races. If I want to change textures I just create a folder with a name that makes sense for what I'm about to do... inside that folder I have the path to the textures for a specific race (so the folder might be called something like: Ningheim Race-Lunari Textures So I'll know it's the Lunari Textures for the Ningheim race... you get the idea. Whatever makes sense.. Winzip that folder so now you have Ningheim Race - Lunari Textures.zip Add it to MO as a mod. Place it below the Ningheim race mod and you're done. AND you haven't overwritten your actual Ningheim textures so if you change your mind later you can deactivate the custom textures or make another folder with some OTHER textures and use those instead. Apologies for the ramble. You probably already know this, but I'm a recent convert to MO and it has made so many things so much easier for me and I don't have to reinstall Skyrim because I screwed it up so bad!

Yeah that's the convoluted way I was referring to
judge0 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Nowhere near as convoluted as NMM - overwrites everything and maybe if your lucky get the original files back at uninstall of that mod Otherwise complete re-install of Skyrim from ground up And in NMM you STILL had to move meshes and textures to Ningheim/Custom Race custom location by hand
