[WIP] World of Warcraft - Weapons Import

Yote, get that tutorial finished and posted and you'll have a partner in porting stuff. *points at self* :)

I'm trying to figure out how Blender/Skyrim as we speak. As I mentioned in my PM I have tons of things that I ported to Oblivion. I made normal maps/glow maps/etc for the weapons and shields so that they looked more befitting in a more realistic game world.

Frothing at the mouth to learn how to do this for Skyrim as well.

Hrm....I guess I really should make that tutorial. In the mean time could you upload one of the oblivion nifs? I think if I get a look at it I might be able to puzzle out hot to convert straight from them to skyrim.

Which will then make it into the tutorial.

Hey, so i see something like 58+ people have downloaded the mod, and I have NO comments on it? Double you tee eff mate?

Thanks. Hellreaver was the second hardest to convert. The hardest was the Hammer of the Naaru, but only because that was the first one I converted, and the version of Nifskope I was using at the time was a bit buggy.

Trying to make a video tutorial and the program I am using decides it doesn't like me.

i was a wow junkie for quite sometime. armors would be awesome! dling and will look at it in game when im able to. keep up the great work!

I downloaded this a few days ago yet was unable to play Skyrim until today. I must say that these are quite wonderful! You did a great job on these.

My one issue is, and I believe it was part of this pack, the Bloodknight helm(?). I'm assuming it's some sort of mask as it only shows a circlet while smithing. But once crafted and worn, the character's head will disappear. Again, I'm not sure if that particular item was part of this pack and I apologize if it wasn't.

It slipped in by accident. It's still broken, obviously, and I haven't gotten around to figuring out how to port armor properly. The tutorials I've been finding haven't been helping.

I have discovered a way to correct some of the artifacts that were personally bugging me. Expect a new version to be uploaded by this weekend.

This looks absolutely amazing (1st person is meh at times)! Thank you!

Just a reminder.

These are the original textures from World of Warcraft. These are the original models from World of Warcraft.

If you don't like the low res textures, make high res ones. I'm chasing down bigger things, like why the models seem to be lit from the wrong side.

I fixed it by using blender. Now things get lit properly.

The tankard of terror allows me to die now without my soul wandering restless. Thank you!

I saved your soul by allowing you bash the heads of your foes in with a stein?

I am thinking about doing armor the way it was done in WoW. In other words, the torso and legs are just textures painted over the naked body. Sorta keeping in the spirit of WoW design.

Never mind. This is a terrible idea. It only works if you are using full body nude mods. The parts covered by the underwear don't exist on the body. Learn something new.

so i feel like an idiot. I cannot for the life of me get the textures or meshes to show up in game..... like i can equip, for instance, thunderfury and the bulwark of azinoth but im holding nothing, the still work, but im beating people with invisible weapons and shields. help meh please, <3.

p.s. ive been following this mod for a while, and im so disapoint lol.

I have no idea what is wrong.

Did you put both the .bsa and .eps in your data folder?

Posted

@wolfwynn

.bsas don't show up in the data files listed. Only .esps will be listed.

The only thing I can think of is some kind of mod conflict. Considering you can use the weapons, but just can't see them.

@stergiosman

That's cool. Maybe someone should start some kind of WoW to Skyrim mod team, and we could pool our talents together.

I'm still puzzling out why I can't get any kind of armor to work.
