[WIP] World of Warcraft - Weapons Import

I am still taking a break from from this. I seem to have forgotten several key steps in unpacking and repacking .bsa files.
A few things that have kept me from wanting to start this back up:

Complaints over the texture quality. Guess what, I happen to have no actual background in 2d digital media, so I am using the low resolution textures created by Blizzard for their models. You don't like them, either make your own, or don't bleeding use this mod.

Repeated requests for armor imports. WoW torso, leg and belt armors are just textures mapped to THEIR models. The only meshes that could be used to make body armor would be the body meshes themselves. I spent two weeks banging my head on my desk trying to turn WoW character meshes into armor, and when that was turning out to look like shit, I tried the WoW approach and made the armor textures into color textures for nude skyrim bodies, which did not work. Furthermore I would have had to resculpt a nude male mesh to make it work, AND would still have to deal with people crying for their favorite body mod.
Working on importing a singular armor sucked up 2 weeks with nothing to show for it.
In short, stop asking me for WoW armor imports. I have no desire to tackle that problem again as I am full time college student, and I am NOT majoring in what ever the fuck you call computer graphics.

What I will be doing, is fixing some of the outstanding issues with the weapons I have already ported, cleaning out the two erroneous items, the bloodknight circlet and the breadsword.

I am only doing this because people still want this mod, and for some reason I feel ya'll should know WHY it hasn't moved.

It's slow work. Weird things tend to happen when I port the weapons and shields in.

 

Especially shields.

Like the corner and spikes on the Bulwark of Azzinoth. It is also ridiculously huge and clips like crazy right now.

But I got one my favorite weapons in WoW ported in rather smoothly. I did a lot of heroic tanking with it.:cool:

But I don't know how to control how the weapon sheaths yet.

It is making me angry.

I can fix what I am now calling "pixel cancer" if I don't use a normal map, but then it looks like this.

Love the work :) i was just asking wen someone was gonna impliment WoW gear in skyrim. i ply both a lot lol.keep up the good work cant wait to see if u add armors

 

Armor is in the pipeline, but significantly more difficult than weapons.

Everything but head pieces and shoulders are just textures painted on the character model, and shoulders are divided into lefts and rights. I know how I want to start with armor, but it will take a lot of time to just add one armor.
