Internet Security Add-ons/Extensions

Despite only going to a handful of websites on a regular basis I find myself cleaning off 50-60 tracking cookies with SuperAntiSpyware every day. I'm not entirely concerned about my search history being someone elses knowledge, I just don't like the idea that these things attach themselves and clutter up my system without my say.

Anyone have any suggestions for programs or extensions to add to Google Chrome to help cut down on the search trackers? I know I could do things like java script blockers but I tried that once and it turned many websites into red x's where items and images wouldn't load. Currently I'm using Ghostery and AdBlock but still the cookies remain. Once a day I'll do scans with SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, and Microsoft Security Essentials.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I also never liked Norton/McAfee because they took too much control of my system and turned into a pile of poo if your subscription ran out. Also with the number of dozens or hundreds of add ons that claim to keep your system secure it makes me a little weary that they just leave back doors open for the kind of cookies that they want.

So to recap, anyone know of some good free internet security solutions out there?

if you want a more secure setup drop google altogether ... they are pressing for the DNTM file to be removed from their browser and should have that issue resolved in the next 5-6 months currently in court as you read this, reason being they are implimenting their own website providers and they dont want future say pedifiles or other low lifes using their services for illegal means and are looking to supreceed users needs and or wants.

ok to make it simple for you, Google the Great is in court to shut down the makers of the DO NOT TRACK ME or DNTM cookie tracker in claims that it is keeping them from getting accurate counts from their Proffit margins and they are going after anyone that directly conflicts with their privacy policy. In other words they are loosing money with people not allowing their host company and or tracking  departments and they are looking to put the kibosh on it.

you see the rest of the world wants privacy , and Google the Great is working against that and trying to become a Information Tracker or ....

Scott Cleland of Gizmodo wrote this exert on Google's charachter

"The big overall takeaway here is that if Google's leadership is willing

and comfortable stealing from longtime personal friends and colleagues

who have given generously to them and greatly helped them succeed at

most every stage, Google could be expected to have no compunction

stealing from people they don't know. This also helps explain why Google

has by far the worst intellectual property infringement record

of any major American corporation and why so many companies and people

are suing Google around the world for intellectual property infringement"

effectively the reasons behind all these adds and their trackers as being a thorn in your side is actually a marketing venue for Google and by limiting their usage of implimenting by using 3rd party programs such as DNTM is cutting into their proffit gains and they are looking to put a stop to it, tracking cookies are one thing but their injected apps and adds are along the same principles that are being turned off as well .... after all why kill just one bird when you can get the whole flock at once right!!! well Google is looking for any means necessary to stop that and that is what i was speaking of

Bah! Seriously?! WTH Google!

So I'm next to be sued by Google then seeing I've blocked their google analytics site because it slows down sites I'm visiting...

*edit*

The major difference between what you wrote in reply to my question and your first post regarding this matter was back ground information.

I appreciate the time you took to explain this and add more to my already high disapproval of Google.

After reading this thread I went ahead and installed DNTM it's now right up there beside my ad blocker. Looks like google just acquired another thorn. *poke poke poke* :D  Google tries to slither into everything I use to have a youtube account for a long time then google joke took it over and then wanted you to get a google joke account just so you could sign into something you already had. Google spies bad enough the way it is without getting a account with them as well so I just wave a friendly wave and if and when I find a video on youtube that they want you to sign in to watch I copy and paste it and go to a different site to watch it.
