I have a pretty high end PC (See Specs below), and run about 30 FPS. I miss my 60 frames without ENB but I really don't want the game to look poopy. As I stated I don't have any EMBs I am trying to get the best Skyrim I can with the simpler fixes. I have fixed the meshes and now the chains, rope and other small items actually look like what they are suppose to be. Anyway. Looking forward to any info as well on an EMB because I might just move to that soon however I have to be a little more selective as I have a 670 2gb compaired to your 770 4gb. Oh and sorry about the previews. It seems now Jpegs don't preview anymore like they used to.

Pretty similar to what I have going, except there seems that ENB has better shading. I imagine a lot of the visuals are from Climates of Tamriel? I used to use Beautiful Whiterun, but there are two odd texture glitches that I just got tired of seeing. I cleaned it with TES5Edit and it put one district underwater, so I removed it.

If it's using DDR3 you're worse off than a similar GPU using DDR5 memory. There are mods that provide quality textures without causing FPS cutdowns (Bethesda Performance Textures, for example), and there are ENB presets that are performance-oriented.

There are mods that provide quality textures without causing FPS cutdowns (Bethesda Performance Textures, for example), and there are ENB presets that are performance-oriented. My card is DDR5, and supposed to be 2GB according to the AMD website. I have a lot of high quality textures installed, so maybe that's why I get the performance loss with ENB. I have tried dumbing down the settings but it seems like it made little to no difference. For anyone interested, here is my result after disabling ENB. It doesn't look bad and the performance is much better, but it just seems so.. shiny and bright. The second picture was my settings prior.
gvman3670 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm also using I Can't Believe it's NOT an ENB. And the mods the author suggests to use with it (CoT, ELFX, Imaginator) as well as Dynavision. The end result is very close to ENB and has no noticeable performace hit. My machine is a dog so I also use vanilla textures, and this is why I started tinkering with ICBIN ENB in the first place. It looks far, far better than vanilla, and that's what I was looking for. Plus you can change things a LOT in game and on the fly.

The lighting, color and shading do get improved with ENBs. However there is a lot of stress placed on the system with them even light ones. I am still playing around with lighting and such. Some of them are affected by Climates of Tamriel but it is combined with many other mods with textures, and distance changes that might be making a difference over what you had. In the beginning there was a few issues that annoyed me and I played and fiddled abit and got it to what it is today. Still no bodies or armor fixes yet. Still have to fix those boring creatures and monsters and create some variety etc. I haven't even really added quest or other things to the game yet.. . I am moving closer and closer to my computer limit as I do this. Whiterun "odd Textures glitches" . haven't found them yet. Where are they. I haven't cleaned any of the mods yet. It is quite surprising that most of them are clean or pretty dam close. The main files however have been cleaned though. I cleaned it with TES5Edit and it put one district underwater, so I removed it. It is likely that that district was already " underwater" when it was made. That is the default water level was higher up and when you cleaned that it just removed the code that prevented the water to be there. I am not sure but I am trying to learn as much about CK as possible. Difficult when you haven't fired it up yet.. LOL

The texture issue was on the wall that is beside the steps to the Skyforge, and the base to House Gray-Mane. They are invisible, and if you walk over them just right, you will fall through the map. I did research to see if anyone figured it out but I had no luck. It could be an inconsistency with another mod, though. I'm also using I Can't Believe it's NOT an ENB. And the mods the author suggests to use with it (CoT, ELFX, Imaginator) as well as Dynavision. The end result is very close to ENB and has no noticeable performace hit. My machine is a dog so I also use vanilla textures, and this is why I started tinkering with ICBIN ENB in the first place. It looks far, far better than vanilla, and that's what I was looking for. Plus you can change things a LOT in game and on the fly. TESV.exe_DX9_20140722_200841.jpg I would be happy with the effect you are getting, but my characters are still so bright! Maybe I will install Dynavision and see what it changes. I think ELFX is hit or miss for me because it makes some houses unbearably dark, and others perfect.

I have had problems with Skyrim parts ( original game textures) missing and found it was a conflict with another mod or the mod itself. I have been by the skyforge and haven't noticed any texture issues so far. ( doing the Harbanger quest line and finished it recently) ..
