Everything looks fine...but Doesn't work..Help?

My game is working perfectly fine....no CTDs..no Glitches...nothing..I read the read me first forum pinned by the admins..I looked at everything else on this site but nothing that I tried seems to work...I optimised load order...I optimised Papyrus...I've done everything I know how to do..but..the sex doesn't start.

 

I have the latest FNIS and all of its BS that it needs.

I have the latest SkyUI and SKSE.

I have the latest SexLab Framework..

Everything is as it should be...

 

But here is what happens..

 

My character finds a willing sex partner. They agree to do it. The dialogue cuts out like it is supposed to...but the sex animations don't start and the NPC walks away..leaving my character forever alone (lol)

Yet it I'm not reading a papyrus log right now, the thing most emphasised and in big red bold text in that pinned thread.

^That is the most recent...as I said NO CTD...yet I still have the same problem..

that's not the right papyrus log, it wouldn't say "EditorPapyrus" and even if you have a perfectly installed Skyrim you would still be getting stuff printed out into your log.

I don't know which other one you want...and my Skyrim was installed via Steam...so there is virtually no way it can be installed incorrectly...and if it was...Steam did it lol

As far as the papyrus log goes...uhm..I did what the posted thread told me to...but there is nothing there...just the papyrus thing I posted previously...

Sooo, I had a problem with my UNPB-Profile in MO, the last one I was rummaging around in. Installing this, installing that.

And when I nedded money, the customers just gave it to me, no animation. I had this before already, when still using NMM.

Luckily this time I was able to switch to a previous step in the installation process and loaded an older profile with less mods and mainly Sexlab installed.

I already had a hunch and it was right. Comparing the animation lists between the older and the defective profile showed, that all animations with the beginning Zyn, Arrok, AP and Bleagh had disappeared from the animation list in the defective profile. They were still in the older one and were played, when activated.

 

I tried re-registering the animations, I went through every SexLab mod and either registered or deactivated and reactivated them (after waiting for the proper messages, of course :) )

I disabled and re-enabled the Framework, but to no avail, the missing animations didn't show up anymore.

Papyrus actually states a lot of Errors and I got cross eyed while trying to read anything in it. What I saw was that only the DD and bondage animations were loaded in SexLab, the others were all gone. When trying to play a masturbation animation it was always the one mentioned in Papyrus: NOTICE: Found Animations(1): DDBeltedSolo,

No other masturbation animation could be found.

I am not sure, what exactly shot the animation registry, but I will try to rebuild another profile and see, which installed mod might have caused the trouble.

This means a lot of masturbation for my character, I guess :P

Or I could look into the animation list after installing another mod, I guess.

 

But maybe this is already a known problem? I have no idea, which SL Mod provides those animations, but I guess the "Zyn" are from the the ZynAnimation Pack and the others are in the SexLab.esm?

 

And most annoying: It is a quarter past 4 am, I realized I lit my last cigarette and have to get my next Cluster Headache Infusion in about 6 hours :o

 

Oh and often the animation names started with a "$" in MCM.

Ok, here is some result from the testing I made so far:

 

I only installed one or two mods (well, more like 4 to 5) at once with MO and checked for the animations, then saved that game and added new Mods, checked, saved in a new slot and so on.

So I tried to backtrace and deactivated the new Mods one by one until I was at the same status as I was with game 014

 

I decided to start a new game from here and the Mods all registered in MCM, the loading messages came and I checked.... no animations.

I loaded game 014. Animations were in there. Started a new game... no animation in the Animation Toggle

I did a reset to system default in SL, as well as a Reset animation registry. Th animations didn't reappear.

Loaded 014, stood around a bit and saved the Papyrus.

Started a new one, waited for the registering of all the Mods, checked (still no anims) and saved the Papyrus as well.

 

(as you can see the Papyrus log for the New one is more than double the size of the one from the save game where the animations worked)

 

I hope this helps in some way to clear the mystery :)

Your 2 papyrus logs are very unfair comparisons. For one the first small one you never attempt to re-register the animations, which is the source/fix for any animations not appearing. The second larger log you try to register the animations, and it promptly fails on every single one because you'r using an outdated animation pack that stupidly overwrites sexlab's main files.

This repeated error shows up once the animations try and re-register, it means you're using an sslAnimationDefaults and/or sslCreatureAnimationDefaults script that is still using the SexLab 1.39 or older style of registering animations, which used a 4 argument callback, while SexLab 1.50+ uses a 1 argument callback. "Expected 4, got 1" because the outdated script is set to 4 arguments but sexlab's internal system is sending the newer, proper, single argument.

 

This error could have occurred at any point in the process before either log, upgrading/rebuilding/resetting SexLab's animations at any point would wipe the correct animations and then fail to replace them properly due to your use of an outdated addon mod. So you would only know which mod was breaking it by immediately trying to reset the animation registry after installing that mod, simply playing a test animation wouldn't show the problem.

 

Or more simply just look through the mod files you installed and remove any mods that overwrite SexLab's default sslAnimationDefaults or sslCreatureAnimationDefaults scripts and then promptly yell at whoever made that mod overwriting the default files.

Well, I didn't try to re-register the animations with the save that had them working, didn't want to break it ^^

 

Oi! And I think, I found the answer. When I check the conflicts in MO, it says that Zyn Animation uses 1.39.

And the download page has only one *red* warning sentence that you need SL 1.39 or it could cause problems using his resource..... :blush:

Are the animation from the Zyn package already included in SL? Or better: Do I need the Zyn package for the animations?

Edit to anwswer my own question, while slapping myself with an old, dead fish: No, you do not need it. You could have tried it by deactivating the Zyn Package and starting a new game to see that all the animations are there in a new game. *slap slap* Now say "I am sorry for wastig your time"
