Rico87 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Hi, I know that subject must feel pretty redundant but ... i still haven't found any answer on the net so i'm turning to you as my last resort ... Here's the self explanatory problem (look at the right of her neck, note that while it might not look like much right there, it's way worse in game): Here's my story : - Install skyrim - Install crapload of mods with little experience using Nexus installer - Unstable skyrim - Reinstall everything once with more experience - Better skyrim but still too unstable for my taste. Every mod was working as intended BUT the game would randomly crash on save and other weird goodies. - Initiated a third install (from steam backup) - Installed many mods with Mod organizer, after several headhaches, i managed to have it up and working, seemed stable too (but didn't test much), however, now every custom NPCs AND female vanilla NPCs have the greyface bug ... I disinstalled every freaking mod, i even reinstalled from backup (redownloading is too much of a pain), can't get rid of that crap. So basically, with nothing but alternate start and dawnguard, i still have the bug. As for the CK fix, I have troubles with the CK, even more with MO (don't know how to tell him to go find esps in the MO directory and not the skyrim/data). And, anyway, am i expected to manually fix every female NPC of skyrim? O;o Anyway, another information, at my working but unstable build i had 175+ mods but no grey faces (on second install). Which indeed included back then face mods, hair mods, body bods (unp unpb); ENB etc ... Any help is welcome ... i'm getting hopeless to fix it ... and playing with greyface must be ... irritating ... what good are beauty mods if you end up with that grey crap ... Thanks everyone! EDIT : so out of despair i went throught with some mod installation no matter the bug above. I have installed the Saaran Suum ENB, it looks great but ... Notice the shadow patterns on the arm ... I don't know how that appeared and I don't know how to make it disappear. I have tried setting my iBlurDeferredShadowMask to 3 or 7 which roughtly changes nothing (as i've read it's a common fix for shadow oddities). Here's the pic (clic to enlarge) : UPDATE OF THE EDIT : Fixed by the way people say it should, i'm just too new to MO and didn't know it keeps separate .INI ... But all my females NPCs are still mixmatched ... arggghh
Rico87 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 *sob sob* halp Note that even the cleanest of installs didn't fix ... so i could believe in a "it's your hardware" theory but it worked before i reinstall the game for the third time ...
dashipper Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 What happens if you launch the game without using MO?
Rico87 Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Happens with nothing installed, no boss, no dawnguard, no texture packs, no mods, no MO, just game installed, launched from skyrim with patch 1.9. :'(
JRCosta Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Are you using a new save or an old save in a fresh Skyrim install?
Rico87 Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Another question : Is installing a body mod (UNPB yadayada) Then installing the dimonized UNP Then Belisario thingy for pregnancy Then realgirls something something So that's different textures and shapes and stuff ... all affecting the female look, is it an evil thing to do to just install them on top of another (via MO), and letting the load order set the priorities, or i should just choose one and delete altogether everything else?
Guest Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Install Nexus Mod Manager. Try reset archive invalidation. I really hope this helps you.
Fotogen Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Hi, I have installed the Saaran Suum ENB, it looks great but ... Notice the shadow patterns on the arm ... I don't know how that appeared and I don't know how to make it disappear. I have tried setting my iBlurDeferredShadowMask to 3 or 7 which roughtly changes nothing (as i've read it's a common fix for shadow oddities). Broken or missing body/face/hand textures. I had something like that once. ENB wsa not a problem (didin't even know that something like ENB exists). Problem where "textures". I my case they where: - for the wrong body: body mesh was CBBE 3, mixed set of v2 and v3 textures - some where compressed in such a way that Skyrim didn't liked them - one of textures was missing mipmaps Why I say textures (plural)? You have (you must have) multiple files that are "texture". Like: femalebody_1.dds femalebody_1_msn.dds femalebody_1_s.dds femalebody_1_sk.dds ... now repeat that for "hands" and "head". So like 12 files. All must be compatible. And all must not be corrupted. By the way. If you are missing one of those files, then Skyrim will use vannila textures (fugly low quality stuff).
