Removing armors from a compilation pack

I've been using Alan's BBP armor pack for a while now, and while I do enjoy it, there are a TON of outfits in it I will never, ever use, and do nothing more than crowd the crafting menu. How would I go about removing these outfits without the mod exploding or throwing a fit? An explanation would be nice, or a link to a tutorial on doing this sort of action.

Or, would it be easier to just extract the meshes and textures of what I want, and make it a separate armor mod?

you have a couple options which could depend how comfortable you are editing ck.

the easiest option without needing to use creation kit is to simply replace meshes/textures of the armors you don't plan to use, with armor you prefer, provided they are similar enough.  the downside is the names will be wrong unless you go into ck to edit it.

should give you an idea of using ck to edit/create

another option may be just to edit the crafting category for the armors you don't use, into one of the categories you rarely or never use.

depending on how many armors you plan to keep, if it is small number, it may make sense to make your own plugin with just the small subset of armors.

Thank you to both of you! I managed to open up the pack and delete the unwanted recipes. I had no clue how much more insane the construction kit for skyrim is compared to the nice and simple Oblivion one. I used the former method of replacing the called-for meshes for another mod. It works perfectly in game other than one detail. The item it shows in the preview image is the original armor, not the new one. Though that's likely due to me missing a mesh somewhere (replaced the feet, chest, hands, and added in a helmet). I'll have to try Veladarius's method with another pack, and see how it works. Though that would still mean the armor models would be loaded in game and bloat things, right? Just not be craftable?
