(Idea) Servitude Mod - Sign up to an employer and do things

So it's kind of just a weird idea that I was pondering, and in some ways it's similar to the enslavement from Sanguine's Debauchery. But I've seen enough things with similar mechanics that I'm sure it would be possible, if difficult. I'd do it myself, but admittedly I have no idea how. Anyway. Just labeled it out below because hey, can't hurt to put the idea out there.

But basically, was thinking of being able to put yourself in the employ and work as kind of a servant for the person of your choice. I'm going to write it out in detail below, partially to see if there's interest and partially so if I ever figure out how I don't just lose my notes. So this is just kind of the general process I was thinking of within the mod.

- Approach someone who might have use for kind of an all-purpose servant. Obviously, not every person in Skyrim would work. A beggar can't afford a pricey, sophisticated(?) servant like the player. And anyone who might up and vanish for quest reasons would probably also be out. But there are multiple people in Skyrim who are rich and/or could use an extra set of hands in their daily life.

Though each would probably have different needs in a servant. It would be way more interesting to be specific with what each person wants, though it would result in fewer candidates and a lot more work. But more fun. Perhaps someone often in dangerous situations or who feels threatened would require combat skills in their servant. Some might want high alchemy skills if they desire a cook (or a poisoner.) Someone who works in smithing or enchanting might want someone skilled in those areas to assist them in crafting. Etc.

Going to list some potential candidates below by their locations in mostly the bigger cities. However, I do have concerns that some of these might not be possible, because I'm not sure how this mod in general running on a person might interfere if they're involved in a particularly elaborate quest. Perhaps, in a similar way to meeting a marriage requisite, you wouldn't be able to join someone's employ until certain quests were done. Also, you'll learn that my prerequisite for most of these was 'anyone in fancy clothes.'

  • Jarls. Any Jarls. Sure, they have their own servants and housecarls. But they all have their own duties, and I'm sure they wouldn't turn up their nose at another well-bodied servant. Jarls always need stuff done. But Jarls would probably want only the most skilled, so maybe you need high levels in a lot of useful things. While housecarls wouldn't need any assistants (they're already servants) counselors and court mages might also hire, if the player isn't skilled enough for a jarl.
  • Solitude. Erikur and Bryling, for certain. Vittoria Vici would be good if not for the whole murder thing.
  • Whiterun. Olfrid Battle-Born and Vignar Grey-Mane could both use an extra servant, particularly the former. If one doesn't mind how much of an ass they are, Nazeem could probably also afford an extra pair of hands for the farm and important business he's always bragging about.
  • Windhelm. Torsten Cruel-Sea is an obvious one. Might need some extra company given what happens to his family, anyway.
  • Markarth. Basically any member of the Silver-Bloods.
  • Riften. Maven, Maven, Maven. Even if she isn't Jarl. Would probably end up in the worst sorts of jobs, too. Failing her, a lot of the Black-Briars could probably use some hands. Probably some others in Riften, maybe someone who needs someone to handle the shadier business. Anyone employing here? Probably wants some shady skills.

Those are just some ideas for potential candidates.

- Make a Deal. Sign a Contract. First the person you approach, should they be interested, will propose a wage. Maybe if your persuasion or intimidation is good enough, you can talk it into being higher. It would be a set sum that's paid out every day or week. Expenses would likely come off the top, although maybe particularly expensive errands give some extra to cover expense. Once both parties agree, a contract is made. Each party would get a copy. For the player, purely cosmetic/a reminder. For the other, I'll bring it up later.

- Servitude! Once you're in someone's service, each day/week you're paid a round sum and you also receive a key to the house, with similar privileges as a friend would get. No stealing anything too expensive. Perhaps a side bed to sleep in, or the ability to share the employer's bed. But the big question. What do servants do?

- Basic Requirements. Regardless of the employer, they would probably have certain rules, like that which I'll list below.

  • Carry out their job requests. Specific requests will be listed below. And be as prompt about it as possible. Depending on the quest there's probably a time limit for getting it done without punishment.
  • Do not simply abandon them and go galloping across Skyrim without telling them. Perhaps not talking to them for a full twenty-four hours causes a punishment, or in the worst case scenario gets a bounty or even hired thugs/assassins after the player. There would probably be a system of asking for work leave for an amount of time, which would be granted if you're a good servant. So that the player isn't completely restricted to one area for the rest of the game.
  • Certain employers might have their own set of rules. Perhaps Olfrid as an employer doesn't want you conversing with the Grey-Manes. Maybe Maven wants you to turn a blind eye to certain activities. But these are probably much harder and more of a 'what if.'

- Jobs. Every employer will obviously want certain things from you. It's what you're being paid for. Probably on a radiant system for some of them, but I'm not sure. Jobs might include the following.

  • Follow the employer around and be their bodyguard as they visit places. The prerequisite for a good job simply being 'don't wander off while guarding them. Stick close.' (Be great if it could be programmed in that randomly generated thieves or other likely enemies turn up to attack them on occasion. But just following them is also fine.) Some people might require a dress code. They don't want to look cheap, so maybe you'd need to wear expensive armor or a nice dress.
  • Deliver or pick up things. If the employer is someone who has business in deliveries, maybe they need you to deliver the extra special ones.
  • Craft items. Maybe they want a meal. Maybe a potion or a poison. Maybe a new suit of armor or a sharpened blade.
  • Simply acquire a certain item. Maybe they want a nice bottle of wine or some food, maybe a nice dress from Radiant Raiment, maybe they want something you can't simply craft. Depending on the item, maybe some more time is allowed for these sort of tasks.
  • Rough up someone. Getting into the shadier or at least more violent jobs, maybe they need you to go brawl with someone to teach them a lesson. Probably the easiest to program in, since it's exactly the same as Farkas' jobs in the Companions.
  • Steal. Maybe they really want that sapphire necklace the Jarl left by their bedside.
  • Plant evidence. Maybe they want someone to discover a bottle of poison or a strap-on in their lover's bedside table.
  • Murder. Unlikely, and likely only a Maven sort of job or for the real nasty pieces of work. Similar system to after the Dark Brotherhood is complete, I wouldn't want to set it after named characters. Hey, the Dark Brotherhood is expensive. Sometimes it's easier to go closer to home.
  • Sexual favors. Duh. Could be some variety. Maybe they want you to wake them up a bit more with a blowjob, or go and comfort their buddy. Bang their wife while they watch. If they're cruel, maybe a more rapey form of 'roughing someone up.' Maybe they want you to wear something special. You know, there's a lot of potential.

That's mostly what I came up with over writing this. It'd be great if the types of quests varied depending on who's hiring you, but that would require a lot of work.

- Punishments if you fail to abide by their commands. You're doing a job. You should be good at that job. If you're not, they should probably punish you. Devious punishments would probably work well with this. Perhaps they start small (wear this gag today) and escalate (get tied up and left outside the house for a day.) If it gets pushed too far, they terminate the contract (in a bad way) and you get sent to jail for cheating them out of gold. (They paid for good service, not for you to take the money and run off to Markarth.)

- Rewards. Probably not huge ones, and it would depend on their generosity. But being a good servant maybe gives you a slight gold boost every now and again, or a nice blade or necklaces, or maybe you can ask for favors like the aforementioned 'I need two weeks to do my own stuff' thing. Maybe each task done adds to a kind of invisible tally and the higher it is, the more likely a favor is to be granted, but having one granted takes away so many points so you can't just keep asking for stuff without doing some work in return.

- Ending the Contract. Ideally, the contract would time out by itself eventually. (Perhaps every month or so.) If they're happy with your work, they might want to rehire you, but that would be up to you. Perhaps persuade them into a pay raise now that they know the quality they're getting. If they're not happy, they'll terminate the contract and refuse to hire you again (though this time without the arrest.) Ending the servitude on a good note would probably have them remain on good terms with you and open to restarting the contract again whenever.

Should one want to not go to jail and end the contract, and particularly if they're a thieving sort, the option to steal the contract from them would be there. Get the contract, and now that they can't prove you were a servant you can ditch on your commitments without legal repercussions. This option would probably leave them hating you and not wanting to hire you back, however. (I'm not sure if inventories refresh and would remove the contract, but if they do maybe have a box inside their house that the contract is kept in.)

Notes over.

I'd be quite willing to write dialogue and design the general layout of quests and stuff and figure out who's a good candidate and all that preproduction stuff, but I just don't know really how sexlab and quest-coding works, and this sounds way beyond what someone who's only modding ability is adding RND functionality to other food mods can do.

Also I'm just checking to see if this is actually interesting and not just one of my weirdo ideas.

You can absolutely reuse my ideas, since I very much doubt I'll ever get them to work on my own anyway (and even if I do, repeats or other functions probably won't hurt.)

That stuff absolutely has its own appeal, too. I just figure variety's nice.

Well it seems like the days of PC prostitution and slavery is getting promoted.

Now you can be a high class escort put on a nice dress and walk around with them and attend fancy parties!

I would prefer to maintain things on Master/Slave relationship rather than contract servant.

Maybe just a Addon pack to SD.

so you can keep your master/slave relationship

while others can enjoy the Addon pack to become a Servant.

YEAH!

Actually I like SD+ and it is one of my favourite mods. but I think it should expand the mistwatch experience to a series of "designed masters".

You could still be enslaved by anyone, but then, depending on the faction, you are brought to the NPC with all the Master/slave scripts, quests and dialogues.

The same as when you are taken to mistwatch.

It is fun to be enslaved by any NPC, but this way the whole experience may be more focused as per your initial ideas.

I can't say how it would fit into SD overall, given that I'm not making it, but I assumed the master/slave stuff would still be there, and the servant thing is an entirely different thing but strictly voluntary so no-one would do it unless they wanted to. But that's just guesswork.

You know, this sounds surprisingly tempting. I kinda like the thought of being a good little servant for someone rich and powerful. Although I wouldn't be particularly interested in the sexual requests if it included someone other than the employer. The appeal of a mod like this comes from devoting myself completely to a single person, you know? (But to be fair, this is the kind of mod I would play for story purposes more than the sex, and I tend to like the monogamous, tame stuff in those.)

What I would like to see is something like a trust points system. Meaning, the better you do when it comes to your employer's requests and jobs, the more they trust you, which would lead to them giving you more delicate or important jobs. It could also make them treat you better or give you gifts or what-have-you.
Oh, or how about a specific type of employer having a specific type of personality? Like, Maven would probably treat you like crap in the beginning, but maybe you could earn some privileges by being a good little servant. And after you've proven yourself to her, she'd treat you more like a well-loved pet than a servant.

That would probably mean less options for more content, though.

In any case, I'm very interested in this.

I really love the idea of this mod.

I had thought on my side in a sort of maid job to do this kind of thing. This is much like what I imagined and I love it. The fact of being able to make our characters choose the way of servitude with several quests as reward, seems to me a fun way to play our characters because they will be able to up their skills and earn money in addition to the sexual aspect! This is a way to remove the negative aspect of the submission.

Making this with Death Alternative seems to be a good idea because I thought that if a characters leaves the master/mistress without autorisation too long, thugs will be sent to take back the one who signed the servitude's contract. It's already a functionnality in SD+ when you stole a NPC, but with the enslavement quest. (if I remember well)

So yes,if a mod like this will be created, it will be a way to combine the pleasant and the useful, we have too often only the sexual aspect in the servitude/bondage/BDSM(...) mods.
