NiaticLabs Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Start NMM > Click the +mod folder (The mod install button) > Select mod to install > Nothing happensAt that point it reverts back to the NMM mod screen and just does not install X whatevre mod i wanted. I have no idea why it does this; It just started happening a few days ago out of no where for absoutly no reason.Anyone god fix's ?Thanks for reading !
brokencircle Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Have you ever tried Mod Organizer? It's a better tool for installing mods than NMM,and it's really not that complicated to use. The best thing about it is keeping your Skyrim install clean.
NiaticLabs Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Im actually working on configuring it now (setting up loadorder) and what not; Do you use it ? prefer it ?
brokencircle Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Yes, I use it and so do a lot of other ppl here.
NiaticLabs Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 When I first start up MO and its completely fresh, the check boxs on the side (the ones where you choose what mods you want enabled) will clicking them effect my loadorder / give me issues with whatever NMM did previously ?Orshould i just install MO then install the new mods on top of that and enable ?---I guess what im trying to say is, will checking boxs in MO confilct with NMM previous settings ?
brokencircle Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Try watching the tutorial videos on how to use MO, I just started using it myself last week after my fifth install of Skyrim because of NMM.
Contessa Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Another bonus is that Mod Organizer can hook into Nexus and download mods just like NMM does except it doesn't stink.

Hmmmm in this case, i would see two main causes : - a faulty Skyrim installation - a faulty NMM installation At first, i'll totally uninstall, clean and reinstall Skyrim thru Steam to be sure that the game itself isn't the problem. This before trying NMM again, or MO if you want. Don't forget to clean the /my documents/my game/skyrim too. If you plan to try MO, uninstall NMM first.
