Alternative Sexualized Skyrim Lore

WARNING: ALTERNATIVE LORE AHEAD

DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU TREAT SKYRIM LORE AS WRITTEN BY BETHESDA AS SOMETHING SACRED

Recent research has shown beyond reasonable doubt that the whole vision of the conflict in Skyrim as shown in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls V, has been terribly wrong. While there was indeed a war between the Empire and Aldmeri Dominion which has resulted in The White Gold Concordat, reasons behind the war are currently understood very differently from the previous version depicted in particular by Bethesda. Additionally, origins of the Dragonborn have been clarified too.

I. NEW FINDINGS ABOUT TAMRIEL IN GENERAL

First of all, research has revealed that at the time, it was very difficult to kill anybody in Tamriel. In fact, all those seemingly killed people were in fact able to regenerate back, and the only means of really killing them was by decapitation. Similar phenomenon was observed in a much more limited manner on the Earth too and has made it later to the legends about Highlanders. It has lead to Tamriel people in general being much more tolerant of punishments which would be currently deemed "cruel and unusual". In particular, public torture for convicted criminals was a common occurrence.

I.1 SKYRIM AND NORDIC PRO-SEXUAL CULTURE

Nords of Skyrim, in addition to being difficult to kill, were historically very open to anything which happens between consenting adults. One theory says that this was a result of "shared bodily warmth" which was necessary to keep them warm in freezing Skyrim climate. Such behaviour, however, didn't extend to children in any manner. It was a responsibility of adults to make sure that children are warm, without any sexual overtones. All sexual contact was deeply tabooed and swiftly punished by lengthy tortures, followed by decapitation (the ultimate punishment in Skyrim as described above). It should be mentioned that indecent exposure of any kind wasn't considered "sexual contact" in Skyrim, and children grew in an atmosphere where nudity and even sex in public was very normal, so they didn't care much about sex in public.

Rape was not tolerated either (though rarely punished by decapitation), but the bandits who were outside of the law anyway, practiced rape, and in fact have preferred to rape and rob rather than to kill. Rape by creatures was also common.

Prostitution was common, and didn't carry any negative stigma. In fact, Dibella priestesses have practised sacred prostitution.

Punishments for crimes, in addition to being public, were often of sexual nature, such as genital mutilation (especially for sexual crimes) and judicially justified rape.

That was the social landscape of Skyrim before the Third Era. It should be further noted that while these highly sexual customs have originated from Nords, there are indications that they were happily accepted by other races, and later extended over the whole Tamriel. Overall, it was an extremely cruel though highly sexual world.

II. TIBER SEPTIM A.K.A. PHALLOS

It is well-known that at the end of the Second Era, a leader (Tiber Septim) has emerged who conquered the whole Tamriel, founding the Empire and starting the Third Era. What has been previously misrepresented is *how* he conquered the whole Tamriel. In fact, in addition to his undoubted organizational skills and personal courage, he has had extremely large genitalia ("like a horse" by some sources of the time, but we feel that more realistic is an estimate equivalent to our 14") and extreme sexual prowess. In just one example, after conquering Skyrim, he was reported to choose 8 virgins from each of the Skyrim holds (making it 72 total), and "marry" all of them in one day in a public ceremony in Solitude; after the event, according to report, over the half of them became pregnant. Such combination of being a great leader and having large genitalia and/or sexual prowess are known in the history of the Earth too. For example, Peter the Great has had penis of eight "swedish matches" in size, and August the Strong was rumored to have over a thousand children. Due to the size of Tiber Septim's genitalia, and his popularity among women, he's got a sobriquet of Phallos. First, the Phallos nickname was known only to his close aids, but than it went out and by the end of his reign was spread very widely over all the Tamriel.

This explains expression "Children of Phallos" (which has been later mistranslated as "Children of Talos"). At the time, "Children of Phallos" has had dual meaning: first, nobody in a sane mind would deny that without at least some phallos you cannot get children (at least not in Tamriel of the time), second, popularity of Phallos among women and his prowess was so large that in several generations most likely everybody in the Tamriel would have at least some blood of Phallos in them. In fact, all the way up to Aldmeri wars Tiber Septim was worshipped as Phallos (not Talos!). It were Thalmors who's started to promote name 'Talos' over original 'Phallos' for their own religious reasons.

Of course, such a hero (and later deity) as Phallos was very welcome and highly praised in the pro-sexual atmosphere of the Skyrim.

III. ALDMERI DOMINION AND THE WHITE GOLD CONCORDAT

As a complete opposite to Nords who were very open about sex, Altmer of Aldmeri Dominion has historically had a religious doctrine which has effectively banned all sexual contacts except for those needed for procreation (only in missionary position, only in the dark, etc. etc.; there are clear resemblances of Thalmor policies in this regard with a position of Earth Catholical Church). Obviously, a widespread and open worship of Phallos was extremely irritating for Aldmeri Dominion priests, and has eventually resulted in the Great War.

As a result of Great War, Aldmeri Dominion has forced the Empire to sign the White Gold Concordat. It included not only prohibition on worship of Phallos (who was euphemistically referred to as 'Talos'), but also prohibition on sex except as needed for procreation. As a result, it is not surprising that Skyrim's Nords were angry with the White Gold Condordat and with Thalmor, and were deeply disappointed with the Empire which has allowed it to happen. This, in fact, was the real reason for the whole conflict between Empire and opposition lead by Ulfric, such opposition known at the time as Strõemcloaks, "strõem" being an ancient Nord for "phallos".

On territories under control of the Empire, Thalmor has gradually and steadily started to root out sexuality, not without (usually hidden) opposition. This was the point when the Dragonborn was born.

IV. NEW FINDINGS ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF DRAGONBORN

Very recently, new facts has came to light with regards to the origins of the Dragonborn. It has emerged that the Dragonborn was not a mystical creation by Akatosh (as it has been suggested by pro-Thalmor researchers), but rather a result of carelessness of the Alduin himself. During Alduin's banishment from Tamriel after the Great War, he has made a habit of abducting women from Tamriel, raping them and throwing them back, usually dead as a result of the rape by his enormous genitalia; most likely, powers of Tamriel regeneration were not working in the Alduin's domain. However, once Alduin has abducted a prostitute, who had lots of experience with accommodating male genitalia of big sizes (including orcs, and she even participated in public performances with horses), so she has survived the rape and was alive when she was thrown back to the Tamriel, where Tamrielic regeneration has picked it up. Even this would probably won't be enough, as in addition to trauma Alduin has had a very nasty case of Dragon STD (exact nature of which is still unclear), but a miracle has happened which allowed her to be cured. It is at this stage where Akatosh may have been involved in Dragonborn birth, though more likely it was Dibella who's responsible for the miracle. In any case, the prostitute (whose name didn't survive) has managed to give birth to the Dragonborn, triggering the whole chain of events.

EDIT: renamed to avoid undesirable connotations.

Why I'm posting this: to see if there is any interest in making a collection of mods which would support this alternative lore, so PC will be able to "live" within such a world. If there is interest - I'll post my thoughts about the mods, if not - sorry for wasting your time :-).

have tails what to do with skyrim? you do not need a huge tail around 1000 children to witness. any sane man can do this, even with a small tail.
I know the elders scrolls saga from day one and I've never heard of "PHALLOS" it was always the talk of "Talos". Tiber Septim was always Talos and it will remain so. I do not know where you got your findings here, maybe fantasy.
Look here, how can you combine that with skyrim.

Calm down, bro. Skyrim and Talos are fantasies themselves, so obviously any "research" about it is by definition a fantasy too. The idea is to have more or less plausible lore which justifies at least some of all those sex mods out there. Within such (or similar) framework it would be possible to justify such things as Defeat, make stuff like RP really necessary to survive, make reason for XPO to exist within the lore and so on. What I want is an authentic world living by its own but plausible rules, that's it. Changing Phallos to Talos is not exactly required to achieve this, but to make it plausible, lots of minor details are needed, and I don't see why this is a bad thing to have (unless somebody in real world is really worshipping Talos, but I still believe in sanity of mankind). It could have been happening this way.

I know the elders scrolls saga from day one and I've never heard of "PHALLOS" it was always the talk of "Talos". Tiber Septim was always Talos...

Nope. He was Phallos, and it was Thalmor who, in their attempt to banish all the sexual connotations of the great sexual hero, modified his nickname to Talos. Changing history is one of the favorite pastimes of oppressive regimes (see, for example, Orwell's 1984).

Look here, how can you combine that with skyrim.

I'm not going to. Phallic cults (cults of Phallos as a deity) have at least 2500+ year history, and history doesn't change with somebody writing a novel with the same name. Have you, for example, visited excavations of temples to ancient Greek god Dyonisus? I've been at two, and seen that many stone phalluses that one won't seen in Whiterun with SoS installed. All the history of the mankind was highly sexual, despite the XX century trend to make it look different.

So your alternate lore is about huge dicks, the aldmeri dominion being something like the roman catholic church and wolves raping pretty girls? Really? Come on. I mean, I am all for come up with your own stuff while playing the game but this is just some awkward porn fanfiction, sorry.

I see your point, however, I'd rephrase each of your points a little bit differently:

- "about huge dicks" - I'd say it is about cult of sex, symbolized with phallus. Size of dicks doesn't matter, it is symbol which does (and which it historically was the case for phallic cults - neither Dyonisus nor his lover Prosymnus to whom phallism in Dyonisus is attributed, have had a huge dick, but the symbol did matter)

- "the aldmeri dominion being something like the roman catholic church" - I'd say that Thalmor culture prohibits sex, while Nords culture is open to sex, that's the root of the conflict (instead of original description of the conflict because of dislike of worshipping Talos as a man). Weirder things have happened in history.

- "wolves raping pretty girls" - I'm not a fan of this either, so if you have any better idea - I'm all open to discussion. My reasoning went the following way: I don't believe that in the sexualized world bandits won't rape the girl (or the guy for that matter) coming their way, hence the need to have rape by bandits; it will also allow to justify multiple lifes (and bring Defeat, which was referred as one of the best sexlab mods, into play). And yes, this I'm sure is important - in a sexualized world punishment for losing should be sexualized too.

But what to do about creatures then? Saying that creatures do kill instead of rape - possible, though it will require throwing away that "immortality unless beheaded" stuff, but I think I'll find a way around it. So, will it become more acceptable for you if I throw creatures away - or you think "it is hopeless beyond repair" (in which case any discussion is pointless by definition)?

but this is just some awkward porn fanfiction,

Sure it is, but doesn't the whole sexlab stuff belong to the same basket? We're on LL, not on Nexus.

I could see some of that material finding its way in SexLab Stories (with permission of course). In many ways, this is what Stories attempts to do in the long run - weave a common backdrop to the many sex mods for Skyrim.

A few thoughts:

- I am considering adding signs of Sanguine worshipping. In that context, a phallus would be very appropriate as statue or token (Dibella already has its own tokens, Sanguine could mock that with its own).

- I am not too fond of Dragon rape but this chapter could fit very well as a myth or fable about a legendary figure.

- It is said that the Draugr have been doomed to eternal torment for their treachery after serving Dragons a long time ago. They could also be candidates to explanations about the origin of dragonborn blood.

- Not sure the whote Talos - Phallos thing is needed. Not everything needs to be sexualized and a clash of culture between puritan Thalmor and sexualized Nords should be more than enough to justify their actions (worse has been done in the name of saving the souls of savages around the world).

So if you would like to write book, notes, journals content for the game with this kind of material, I would be happy to incorporate it.

- But Talos was a hero because he did change all of Tamriel, not because he was a casanova with a huge dong. Calling him Phallos would be kind of a mockery, don't you think? Because it focuses on his sexual endeavours and not on like, dunno, conquering and uniting the whole world. Also, if the nords are fucking eachother all the time, you'd think that Talos would have a hard time finding virgins in the holds of Skyrim, hue. If you drop some lines about how he fucked every woman and girl that was willing that's another matter. A lot of rulers did that and it would fit well with the lore we have, I think. Making a culture that's only about sex is something that will make that part incredibly shallow. The viewpoint of sex is part of the culture, not the defining point of it.

- The Thalmor essentially want to blow up the world. I don't see why you should transform them into a copy of the roman catholic church. They are more about racial supremacy than everything else. If anything, I'd say that they see every non-Altmer as their personal toys and slaves. They don't want to teach you how you should live, they want to wipe the filth from the face of Tamriel. However that doesn't mean that you can't have some fun with the filth

while you are exterminating them. They should be all about killing everyone that is a threat and using everyone that is not as toys.

- Creature sex is incredibly difficult to explain because a wolf / dog / troll / chaurus whatever shouldn't be attracted to humanoid females, if they would, they would die out because they can't procreate this way. Falmer, Draugr and giants are another matter, because they are all humanoid themselves. It may be a long shot but at least it wouldn't be impossible. It's just something people are into, but you can't really incorporate this concept without it sounding silly. It's like having a feet fetish and just because of that everyone should run around barefoot in Skyrim.

Last but not least, I will say that I don't like most dialogue and stories in sex mods because I find them to be very dull, boring and unfitting. If you want to know how to describe a sex scene without it sounding like a modern porn flick (who get ridiculed for that very thing all the time) read that book from Morrowind: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Real_Barenziah,_Part_III

Honestly, anything works for me as long as I don't have to read things like "tight pussy", "fuck", "cunt", "cum", "big cock/dick" or anything like that anymore. Sorry for being slightly off topic.

Well, if you consider the nordic culture that skyrim based on,consensual sex with canines would be normal, for Nords. In Ancient/Medieval times people practiced that and probably even today some people do it behind doors obviously. However creature rape(from my point of view) is unlikely to happen without human intervention, because I don't think, in most cases that someone will just stay there and let the creature rape her/him :o, probably Bandits for example would need to restrain the person so the X creature can do his job, thats what I would call "creature rape", but most creatures in Skyrim would just kill you instead, so the only creatures I see eligible for rape without human intervention would be Werewolves,Vampire Lords and Falmers since all those three are/were basically humans with a creature body.

As for Bandits to Rape instead of kill, well that was also common in medieval times, I mean a lot of people were raped back then lol. I also hope you guys know that Molag Bal RAPES his victims, so sex and rape is in the lore.

Just my take on the rape stuff, not a fan but it needs to be said.

As for PHALLOS, well, thats.......strange........

..............

.........

...

but then Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls IS A FANTASY WORLD and has nothing to do with reality, which means EVERYTHING can happen.

Mh.. you should really check tes lores not only of skyrim ones but also of older games... There is a lot of adult themed lore with involved sexuality... Vivec and Molag Bal is an example but you can even find more...

Actually i like creativity when it comes of sexual lores but the way you potrayed it seems too much schematic...And also somewhat out of place for tamriel...  of course no offence... but some things felt more appealing for a Hentai anime than a proper adult theme lore based on sex...

Propaganda.

If that was the case the Khajiit wouldn't be partners of the Aldamari Dominion, nor the Bosmer.  Note they are equal partners, the Khajiit have just as much say as the Altmer! The Aldamari Dominion, just don't trust the younger races to to rule them. Most conflicts (though not all) with the Dominion are defensive in nature. The Aldaramri Dominion's invasion of Hammerfell is about stopping piracy, somehow the Thalmor are the bad guys for defending themselves.

Are there racists Altmer? Yes, but there are racists Nords, and EVERY OTHER race too! Racism is a trait shared by all! (except Argonians, even they know they suck! hehe)

I call total bullshit to this. Seriously, it looks like you're a Nord trying to frighten people away from the scary Altmer!!!!

Altmer culture is about personal growth and order. That makes them seem cold to humans, but you also have to remember that Altmer live for over a thousand years. So this makes them look at things long term, and not for short term. Following these lines, Altmer like to have sex, like everyone... but they want to have children that are better than themselves. So Altmer don't normally sleep around because they want a partner that will help raise the child and one that has good genes. If anything, Altmer are probably a little more freaky in bed, and not sexually repressed! Have sex for a thousand years and you will learn things and want to try spice up your love life!
