Womb Raider Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Just a quick question, is there a tutorial I can watch on how to edit meshes correctly. I'm wanting to add armor support for some of the pregnancy bodies and for the boatfly body added by user29 for the sexout breeder mod. second question, will I be editing armor meshes or body meshes If I'm wanting the armor to conform the the body shape? anyway thanks everyone. I did watch this kid blab for a little while but doesnt really answer my questions about editing armor for different body shapes.
Guest Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Yes you must use Blender to adapt the armor to the custom body. When you make a conversion for example, you import the original armor and the new body inside Blender, then you modify / model the armor so that it fits well inside the body. It needs a bit of practice and patience, especially at start, Blender isn't the easiest tool. I suggest you to read some tutorials, it's plenty of things like this around, or even some youtube videos, just to understand better how the outfit/armor/body meshes work on Fallout.
Womb Raider Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 lol I can't even figure out how to import the meshes from the game. I can tell that this is going to take awhile
Guest Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 But at least it's a start. I mean... with specific questions it's easier to answer. So in this case for example you will need the nifs, extracted from the BSA. You can open Fallout Meshes.BSA using FOMM, then you look for your armor mesh and extract it. So for example, filtering for "leather", you will find all the leather armor models. There are many files: the "go" model, which is how the armor appears in game when you drop it on the ground (so for now ignore that, you will use an existing go model); then also ignore the gloves; last, the outfitF and outfitM, which are the ones you need (for fem and male). You just extract it where you want and you'll be ready to work with Blender, a tutorial should then explain you how to import and modify. PS nifskope is almost mandatory too
Deedlit Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 if you are using blender, take a look at that tutorial : http://www.loverslab.com/topic/22771-skyrim-blender-armor-conversion-tutorial-update/
