ScreamingSquid218 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Could someone please help me in improving my performance? I have little to no experience in modding, understanding papyrus logs, or tweaking skyrim in general. This is my load order and my computer specs. Could anyone could please tell me what mods to get rid of and what exactly to do to improve my performance to the maximum that my computer will allow it? 00 Skyrim.esm 01 Update.esm 02 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp [Version 2.0.4a] 03 Dawnguard.esm 04 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp [Version 2.0.4] 05 HearthFires.esm 06 Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp [Version 2.0.4] 07 Dragonborn.esm 08 Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp [Version 2.0.4] 09 actorEvents.esm 0A ClimatesOfTamriel.esm 0B Schlongs of Skyrim - Core.esm 0C SexLab.esm [Version 1.57] 0D SexLabAroused.esm 0E Xvision Children.esm 0F ZaZAnimationPack.esm 10 Devious Devices - Assets.esm [Version 2.7.5] 11 BeeingFemale.esm [Version 0.3.19b] 12 daymoyl.esm 13 Devious Devices - Integration.esm 14 Xvision Children - Complete.esp 15 Better Dynamic Snow.esp 16 AOS.esp 17 ClimatesOfTamriel-Sound.esp 18 realrainCoT.esp 19 CalienteVanillaArmorTweaks.esp 1A Chesko_WearableLantern.esp 1B LoversVictim.esp 1C MF_RadiantProstitution.esp 1D ORM-Arvak.esp 1E SexLabNudeCreatures.esp 1F Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp 20 WetandCold.esp 21 WetandCold - Ashes.esp 22 ZazResources.esp 23 Footprints.esp 24 RaceMenu.esp 25 RaceMenuPlugin.esp 26 RaceMenuOverlays.esp 27 SkyUI.esp 28 iHUD.esp 29 AMB Glass Variants Lore.esp 2A Cloaks.esp 2B 1nivWICCloaks.esp [Version 2.3] 2C 1nivWICSkyCloaksPatch.esp [Version 2.3] 2D FaceMasksOfSkyrim.esp 2E Frostmourne.esp 2F Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp 30 Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp 31 Immersive Weapons.esp 32 Lich King's Armor.esp 33 PrinceandPauper.esp 34 SexyBikinis.esp 35 Dr_Bandolier.esp 36 Devious Deviants.esp 37 Run For Your Lives.esp [Version 2.0.1] 38 When Vampires Attack.esp [Version 2.0] 39 sanguinesDebauchery.esp 3A AchieveThat.esp 3B Differently Ebony.esp 3C FireAndIceOverhaul.esp 3D Guard Dialogue Overhaul.esp 3E Headtracking.esp 3F Schlongs of Skyrim.esp 40 SOS - VectorPlexus Regular Addon.esp 41 SOS - Dawnguard Armors.esp 42 SOS - Dragonborn Armors.esp 43 SkyTEST-RealisticAnimals&Predators.esp 44 Convenient Horses.esp 45 dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp 46 dD-Dragonborn-Dawnguard-EBT Patch.esp 47 TheChoiceIsYours.esp 48 zzEstrus.esp 49 EstrusChaurus.esp 4A aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp 4B Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.esp 4C Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dawnguard Interiors.esp 4D Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Exteriors.esp 4E Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp 4F Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities and Town Interiors.esp 50 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dawnguard Weathers.esp 51 RLO - Major City Exteriors - No Guard Torches.esp 52 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeon Lighting.esp 53 ClimatesOfTamriel-Dawnguard-Patch.esp 54 ClimatesOfTamriel-Dragonborn-Patch.esp 55 CoT-WeatherPatch.esp 56 CoT-WeatherPatch_DB.esp 57 RealisticNeedsandDiseases.esp 58 RND_Dawnguard-Patch.esp 59 RND_HearthFires-Patch.esp 5A RND_Dragonborn-Patch.esp 5B RND_USKP-Patch.esp 5C Better Vampires.esp 5D Brevi_MoonlightTales.esp 5E WerewolfPerksExpanded_1.6.esp 5F WerewolfPerksExpanded_1.6b.esp 60 Balanced_Magic.esp 61 The Dance of Death - Ultimate Edition.esp 62 ABT - Loot Arrows +75%.esp 63 ABT - Faster Arrows Improved +75%.esp 64 ABT - Faster Bolts Improved +75%.esp 65 ABT - Merchants Arrows +75%.esp 66 ABT - Increased Bolts Damage (Vanilla) +100%.esp 67 ABT - Increased Progressive Damage (with Nord Hero Arrow) +100%.esp 68 ABT - Recover +50% Arrows and Bolts.esp 69 Beards.esp 6A SGHailPackAllinOne.esp 6B TheEyesOfBeauty.esp [Version 9] 6C The Eyes Of Beauty - Elves Edition.esp 6D AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp 6E Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp [Version 2.4] 6F Basvanbeu MuscleTextureChanger with Navetsea set.esp 70 WATER.esp 71 WATER Plants.esp 72 WATER DG.esp 73 WATER DB Waves.esp 74 GreenWaterFix_Compatible.esp 75 Xvision Children - PaP.esp 76 ASIS-Dependency.esp 77 RealisticNights-COTWPpatch.esp 78 RealisticNights COT IS fix.esp 79 RealisticNights COTWP IS fix.esp 7A RealisticNights DB IS fix.esp 7B RealisticNights DG IS fix.esp 7C RealisticNights IS fix.esp 7D RealisticNights+COT+DB+DG.esp 7E Realistic Nights NightEyePredatorVision.esp 7F RealisticNights torches magic lights.esp 80 SpousesEnhanced.esp 81 BeeingFemaleBasicAddOn.esp 82 Apropos.esp 83 SexLabNudeCreaturesDG.esp 84 SexLabDangerousNights.esp 85 DarkReplacer.esp 86 SMIM-FarmhouseFlickeringFix.esp 87 SMIM-DragonbornTernFix.esp 88 SMIM-ShackRoofFixes.esp 89 SMIM-ShackRoofFixesDragonborn.esp 8A SMIM-FurnitureChestSnowFix.esp 8B SMIM-DungeonsCliffsIceSkirts.esp 8C AOS2_EBT Patch.esp 8D AOS2_FIO Patch.esp 8E AOS2_GDO Patch.esp 8F AOS2_WetandCold Patch.esp 90 AOS2_CoT3_1_patch.esp 91 Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp 92 ISCompendium AOS Patch.esp 93 ISCompendium Enhanced Blood Patch.esp 94 ISCompendium Morrowind Soul Gems Patch.esp 95 Bashed Patch, 0.esp Computer: ASUS System: 64 bit Operating System, x64 based processor Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M
gvman3670 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 A laptop then? Me, too. There are some tweaks you can make to your machine that will help. Lots of fancy bells and whistles running in your OS that can free up a lot of processor power if turned off. Windows7 can basically be turned into XP. Making sure your laptop is in "performance" power mode helps, too. False full screen window modes can improve performance. You can use a flash drive as a ReadyBoost drive (it acts like more RAM). There are several things to do and many to stay not do. Don't go too heavy on scripted mods that will bog down your processor. High poly mesh replacement and high res textures will hit performance hard, of course.
ScreamingSquid218 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 I did recently bought a 16gb thumbdrive thinking that it would be enough but apparently its not. Trying out my game with my computer in performance mode
Guest emilio Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 with your specs, i wouldnt reccomend any textures over 512. Look up one of the texture optimizing tools on the nexus, configure the options, and run them on your texture folder. Grab the latest ENB .dll but in the enblocal.ini, disable the enb features and just take advantage of enb boost. Consider running sweetfx on top of that for little to performance loss. Look up and download LOOT. Run it. The end result will look like a really unorganized sort order, but it's actually one of the best and should intelligently handle all esps that you throw at it. You might also want to cut down on the script intensive mods that you are running if you don't think you cpu is up to par. wet and cold, EnhancedBlood, SOS (when armors dont have concealing keyword and slot 54 which can happen when you have lots of mods and conflicts and you don't clean them), fire and ice to name a few from your list, are a bit intensive. Last but not least, if your skyrim.ini or skyrimprefs.ini is configured for enb (bfloatingpointrendertarget =1, and bshadowsontrees = 1 among others), some of those settings will eat a chunk of your FPS too.this mod will remove the 'dynamic shadow' setting from all game light sources, which can bring even the beefiest machines to a crawl (see the fps drop around fire phenomena) and can give you an enormous boost to fps in some areas.http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10789/?tab=3&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D10789%26user%3D1&pUp=1
ScreamingSquid218 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 i also followed the Skyrim Stability Guide if that helps in any way. im kinda torn on removing some of the mods because i like to have immersion in my games but if it helps increase performance ill give it a shot. And with LOOT, does it pretty much render BOSS pointless?
ZaZ Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 HIALGOBOOST GPU UPGRADE http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15123 There Were some more INI tweaks Skyrim Hyper Performance Boost for Low End Computers http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5123/? dobmc Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I heard from people with medium to low end computers say that SMIM causes lag for them. For me it happens in certain places, luckily not often. Bring down specular render distance, as it looks pretty ugly in vanilla. Also if you haven't incorporated the ini settings such as (bUseThreadedMorpher=1) it should be in some of those performance enhancing inis. Adjust object render distance and water reflections in Skyrimprefs.ini… Yea I think that's about what I can say.
